Towels and linen are not included in the rental during peak season but can be arranged at other times of year. The property is cleaned before your arrival and we ask you to clean the property before you leave, if not we make a cleaning charge of £50.

Outside
To the front of the property is a large sunny courtyard, centered around an ancient cider press which also provides ample space for several vehicles. There are outdoor seating areas perfect for al fresco dining and a large grassed garden, where the young and able can burn off any excess energy!

Coast/Beach
Being in the middle of the Cotentin Peninsula it's no more than 30 minutes drive to any one of the 3 neighbouring coastlines. Popular for sun, sand and surf is the west coast with the glamorous Cap de Carteret, the east coast is a treasure trove for historians with the humbling historic D-Day landing beaches and many fortifications, and children will delight in the many shell covered beaches. To the north is the beautiful Val de Saire with its lighthouses, rockpools and surfing meccas.

Travel
35 minutes drive from the port at Cherbourg and 60 minutes from the port of Caen. Trains to and from Paris St Lazare take 2 hours 35 minutes to nearby Carentan or Valognes. There is also an airport at Cherbourg Maupertus offering limited flights. Ferry passengers to/from Jersey and Guernsey have just a 30/40 minute drive to/from Carteret or Granville.
Although public transport is available in the neighbouring village, use of a car is recommended. Fabulous cycling routes from the front door.

Nearby Pont L'Abbe offers a variety of bars, restaurant, shops, supermarket, banks and tourist information along with a local market every Friday morning. A few kilometres on are the larger towns of historical St Mere Eglise and Valognes.
The area once a very wealthy region, has some fabulous Chateaux,(many of which are open to the public) and beautiful countryside.
Located in the heart of a national park the winter scenes are breathtaking when much of the Marais countryside is manually flooded with gentle tidal waters. Truly spectacular!
The discerning palate will be pleasured by the many fabulous restaurants and those who enjoy fabulously fresh fish and seafood will be in for a real treat with some stunning beachside restaurants.
There are numerous activities with which to while away the hours, including great coastal and countryside walks, horse riding, cycling, wine and cider tasting, visiting any number of the areas historical monuments such as the Bayeux tapestry, the incredible architectural feat that is Mont St Michel or indeed for the more fatigued naval gazing!

To book your holiday please call or email. We will ask for a deposit of 25% which is payable straight away. The remainder of the balance and a £100 damage deposit will be due 10 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Please note, we are unable to refund the 25% deposit or balance unless we can re let the property at the same price and whilst we make every endeavour to do so this is not guaranteed. The £100 deposit will be returned at the end of your holiday providing all is as you found it.
