La Couture is a spacious, comfortable house with beautiful terraced gardens, set in the heart of the Loire Valley vineyards: It overlooks the water-meadows of the meandering river Indre, near to where it joins the Loire – on one of its most beautiful stretches. At La Couture we offer luxury Bed and Breakfast (Chambre d'Hote) and gite accommodation. Table d'hote in the evenings for those who wish, with four courses and unlimited local wine included in price (no need to drink and drive). Beautiful gardens in UNESCO World Heritage site. Lovely walks all around, with amazing troglodyte dwellings within 5 minutes easy stroll. The Rivers Indre and Loire within walking distance. Many nearby chateaux, of which the world-famous 'Sleeping Beauty' castle of Rigny-Usse is the nearest (5 minutes drive or bike ride).

| Very comfortable gite on two floors with its own terrace and entrance from Chess Garden at La Couture. Two bedrooms (one upstairs with double bed, one downstairs with twin beds). Upstairs Sitting Room and downstairs farmhouse kitchen. Bathroom with WC, basin, cast-iron claw-foot bath and separate shower cubicle. Extra beds and a cot are available by prior arrangement. 4-course dinners in the main house are also available on request at €29 per person including wine. Guests in the gîte also have use of the gardens and (from May 2009) swimming pool. | |
