Set in the quiet verdant countryside of Normandie, this beautifully restored farmhouse has been furnished in a mixture of antique and modern styles. All the bedrooms feature en-suite bath and or hydro-massage shower rooms, whilst the designer kitchen again reflects the owners' great attention to detail. The garden with terraces to the front and back of the house, where guests can take advantage of the sunshine at any time of day. The conservatory and veranda overlooks the pretty fenced pond and rockery which is home to several carp and a favourite spot for relaxing. To the S.E. aspect of the garden there is a decked arbour, covered in grape vines and Wisteria, a real hot spot, and a Gazebo for cooling off in. Three minutes drive from Conde Sur Vire, bars, restaurants, kayak centre, where you can try your hand at rock wall climbing, crazy golf, or just messing about in boats. Horseriding, cycling/walking, fishing. 1hrs drive to D-Day beaches, Bayeux, Granville, Le Mont St Michel.

Accessibility
The grounds would be acceptable for those with limited disability. We can supply a single bed if needed on the ground floor. Differing levels throughout the ground floor by one step. All ground floor rooms are inter-connected.
Outside
Our garden is a veritable sun trap at any time of day, as it charts its course from the east over the gravel garden to the west where the lawns are laid. There is a Gazebo in the gravel garden with built-in seats for those requiring protection from the sun. There is also, by way of description a veranda which is a covered decked area along side the pond which is one of the coolest most relaxing places in the garden. Alternatively there is a shaded area under a line of Fir trees next to our vegetable garden. We supply tables, chairs ,benches, barbeque. The lawned area to the west is an ideal place for setting out games or a paddling pool. We have a fun childrens one with squirting whale. A donkey is kept in a neigbouring field, whilst our family of goats, lives behind the barn. The kid was born Feb.2008. We experience a wide variety of wild life at various times of the year, hares, butterflies, huming birds, frogs, toads that beep, dragon flies,a barn owl, its a twitchers paradise.
Coast/Beach
D-Day beaches approx 1 hrs drive. As is Bayeux, Caen, Granville (Dior Museum). Le Mont St. Michel, Honfleur, Issigny sur Mer.

Airports; Caen 45 mins 80 KM. Dinard 1hr 30mins 160 KM.
Ferry Ports. Cherbourg 1 hr 85 KM. Caen 45 mins 80 KM. (Ouistreham). Le Havre 1hr 30 mins 160 KM. Dieppe 2hrs 30 mins. 250 KM.
Distances
2km to Conde Sur Vire, bars, hairdressers, boulangerie, tabac, restaurant, etc..Close to the beautifull high point of the "Roche du Ham" where you can view the meandering river Vire,a popular spot for walkers. 6km to St. Lo.Capital town of Manche. All supermarkets and many individual clothes shops boasting the top french designers, and a number of interior designers. Vire 10km. Brilliantly entertaining and varied market town with beautiful lakes at its centre. Cerissy La Forett 20 mins 15km.
Further details
We do not accept pets. Unless you are sight impaired or your animal is a working companion. There is a security deposit of 250 Euros returnable at the end of your stay minus any breakages etc. We are a smoke free zone, albeit if you must, you can, outside only. We can arrange for a cleaner for you after your stay if you would prefer, cost of which is 150 Euros this works out at 10 Euros per room. Electicity and heating are included in the prices quoted, heating is by way of electric fires currently, we are also investigating the installation of renewable energy central heating, obviously this may effect the availability but we will keep you updated on this.
There is a flat rate of 250 Euros per night for the hire of the whole house up to 4 nights stay, after which the cost reverts to the weekly rental rate. B&B is offered during December till 20th. 2008 and after January 5th. 2009 untill February 28th. B&B (continental breakfast) is charged at the nightly rate of 50 Euros per room. With the exception of the Master Suite this charged at 90 Euros per night, and the Family rooms rental of 75 Euros per night.
English breakfast is available on request and carries a supplement of 8 Euros P.P. payable in cash.
Booking notes
Payment to be made by bank transfer. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable when booking. The balance to be paid four weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday term.
In the case of B&B Full rental period to be paid in advance by bank transfer two weeks before commencement. You will receive a receipt to confirm your booking. Advice on weather conditions, and directions to the house.
