Situated approximately 8km from the coast in a small hamlet, La Bergerie was built in the eighteenth century. Retaining all of the charm of old stone and beams, it has been converted into modern and stylish accommodation. With one en-suite double bedroom it is ideal for a couple or small family. The large sofa in the living room/kitchen converts into a spacious single bed. UK TV, a DVD player and free WiFi access are provided and the kitchen is fully equipped. On the large terrace there is a barbecue as well as patio furniture and sun loungers. It is situated in the commune of Angles which has all shops and services as well as summer entertainment and markets.

Accessibility
La Bergerie is a low-level building with one step to the patio and two steps to the bedroom.
Outside
Large private garden with decked patio. Table, chairs barbecue and sun loungers are provided. The patio has a pergola to provide shade and there are several mature fruit trees in the garden.
Coast/Beach
Large sandy beach at La Tranche sur-Mer is approximately 8km away. There are many other beaches nearby ranging from Les Sables D'Olonne which is a large and vibrant tourist resort to the surfer's paradise at Les Conches.
Golf
There is an 18-hole golf course at Port Bourgenay which is approximately 25 mins away by car.
Travel
The nearest airport of La Rochelle is under an hour away. Nantes airport is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. St Malo channel port is within a 4 hour drive. Other channel ports are also easily accessible ranging from 5-7 hours.
Distances
The property is situated in the village of Moricq with a 15th century tower. It is within the commune of Angles - a small town with all services.
Further details
Angles has a music festival each summer and twice-weekly summer markets. There are also night markets and regular events at the local theatre and sports ground. The south Vendee has many attractions ranging from walks, vineyards, chateaux, dedicated cycle tracks, museums, sea-life centres, not forgetting the all-important beaches and sea!
Booking notes
If more than 12 weeks before your stay, a deposit of 50% is requested at the time of booking. Full payment is required 12 weeks before your stay. A security deposit (fully refundable after your visit) of 150 euros per week is also requested at the time of booking. Please see our website for full booking information.
