The lovely flower village of St Aignan is 5 mins drive away and you can pick up your morning baguette and have a coffee in the epicery bar, then later have a 12 euro meal in the Pechery restaurant, walked off along the canal and a visit to the quirky electricity museum. Only 20 mins from the town of Pontivy with the lovely Chateau de Rohan and a good range of shops to browse. 2 double bedrooms upstairs with plenty of room in each for z-beds and cots, also a cabin room with childs bed. There is a sofa bed in the lounge and with the shower room and toilette on the ground floor it makes it an ideal gite for those who have difficulty climbing stairs.The bathroom has a walk in shower, and wash basin. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and modern and has table seating for 6 persons. Outside the gite has a furnished patio area and is south facing. Each gite has uk freeview tv ,videos, games, music and books. |

Notes on accommodation
Both our gites have Uk freeview TV, a music system, videos, books and games for your enjoyment. If you prefer not to cook, you can order meals from our menu and your food will be ready for you on your return from your day out! Breakfast can be delivered to you each morning and can be ordered before arrival or with 24 hours notice. The gites have central heating for the colder months and poire has a log burner. Poire is ideal for families as the children’s rooms are right next to the double rooms. Both gites have a full kitchen, with oven, hob, microwave, toasters etc, and each unit has a hairdryer iron and ironing board. Bedding and towels are included in your price as well as a welcome pack.
For families to save room in your car we have baby equipment, cots, highchairs, potties, stair gates, pushchair, carrypack and baby monitors. If you need something else please ask See our website for all we have offer.
Accessibility
Gite Pomme has a downstairs shower room and separate toilette, the lounge can be made up as a bedroom for your arrival as the kitchen is big enough to seat 6 people comfortably. The gite is ideal for people who have difficulties with stairs, but not good for all round wheelchair access.
Outside
Each gite has a seating area with spectacular views, across the ever changing farmland and forest. There is a NEW POOL this year & communal BBQ area with undercover seating as well as benches and seating around our 4 acres. There's a large trampoline with a full safety net and outdoor play area for the children, as well as an indoor Games room, and of course 2 kids on site to play with
Kids love feeding the goats and collecting the eggs for dinner !
In season collect fresh walnuts and apples off the trees. The small orchard is very peaceful and is a lovely place to lay a blanket and lose a couple of hours.
You can literally walk from your gite through fields to the Quenecan forest and to the largest lake in Brittany, where you can rest on the sandy beach, take a dip to cool off, then order dinner in the restaurant!
We have bike hire on site, a must for those pootering along the canal days!, We have a trailer too for towing those with little legs!
Well behaved Dogs are welcome too
Coast/Beach
5 minutes to beach at Lac de Guerledan.
40 minutes to the spectacular north coast.
1 hour to the beautiful south coast.
Golf
There are some lovely Golf courses in the region, the closest to us being at Pontivy. There is a nice one down on the South coast between Guidel Plage and Larmor Plage righ at the edge of the sea, but the coup de cour is at Ploemel, a french Open course which is only an hour away.

Further details
The nearest supermarket, petrol station and bank is 10 mins away at Mur de Bretgane, there is also a lovely night market here on friday nights in the summer with live music and dancing in the square. The Abbey at Bon Reppos has a lovely artisan market on a Sunday morning with everything hand or homemade. Pontivy is the nearest big town with shops and banks.

About the owner
We're living the good life here at our gite complex in Brittany and enjoying all that France has to offer.
We all enjoy the area we live in and are very lucky to live in a beautiful part of the region. We have the Nantes Brest Canal 5 minutes away as well as Lac de Guerledan which is 7 miles long and a favourite with the kids !
We've been here since 2004 and so have a good general knowledge of the area, and what we don't know we'll endeavour to find out for you.
My French is now a lot better than it was when we arrived ( non existent !), but not as good as the kids, though the homework we do helps me as much as them!
We love sharing our place with our guests and seeing the enjoyment people get from their holiday, we are very family orientated. Your 4 legged friends are welcome too!

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
We searched all over to find a place that ticked our boxes, Loire, Charente, Vendee, all of Brittany !! When we came here to view it was so wow! what a great view! And there was a peace about the place, then we looked around the immediate vicinity and saw the lake was 5 minutes away with a lovely beach area and a restaurant. The Nantes Brest canal is also 5 minutes away running through the lovely flower village of St.Aignan, and it's also 10 minutes away at the Abbey Bon Repos which is a lovely little fairy like ingle with an Artisan market every sunday from March to October, Everything is home made or hand made and it's such a lovely atmosphere.
The Foret ( forest ) de Quenecan is practically on our doorstep with miles of walks and moutain bike trails.
With our 4 acres it's just lovely
Unique benefits of the property
The obvious benefit for us is the lake, There's waterskiing, swimming, sailing, peddlos and just good old fashioned lazing!
At Kerlun we are lucky in that the road to our place doesn't pass anyone else or go anywhere else, so we are very quiet and safe, yet only 5 minutes to the village. Our nearest Big town is Pontivy (South 15kms) and has a Chateau, lovely shops, supermarkets, weekly market, banks and restaurants, It also has a large open air pool in the summer and there's a bowling alley and cinema.
There are many sports for yourselves and kids to sign up to each day at Mur de Bretagne ( 6kms ) and a lovely evening market with music and dancing.
Kerlun has plenty of space to find your own quiet corner if you just want to sit and ponder with a book and a bottle of local Cidre !
