About the owner
Having been fans of France for many years, my wife and I decided to buy in the Charente Maritime, mainly because of its sunshine record and beautiful coastline. We bought our holiday home in Civrac over 17 years ago and have enjoyed many lovely holidays there. Situated in a hillside hamlet which looks down across fields of vines and the Gironde Estuary, our property is close to the sea and many attractive towns. Our gite is available for rent all year and we have a large house next door which we rent out occasionally in peak times (sleeps 8 and has a private swimming pool). Sometimes we can rent out both together for large family holidays so others can enjoy similar great times as we have had ourselves. When not in Civrac we live in a small Northamptonshire village.

We bought in this area for two reasons 1, The sunshine record and 2, close to beautiful coastline with lovely beaches.

The peace and quiet and the lovely views.
Lovely walks through vineyards and sunflower fields. With the bikes supplied one can explore the area further afield and do something healthy at the same time !
