The villa is in the beautiful historic hillside village of Speracedes, just 30 minutes from Nice Airport, Cannes and Antibes. Monaco and St Tropez are a 90 minute drive away. Speracedes is situated 2 miles from Grasse in the South of France on the border of the Cote d'Azure and Provence at the foothills of the Alps and has stunning far reaching views over the Bay of Cannes and Cap De L'Esterel. Grasse is well known as the world capital of Perfume. This villa is an exeptional base from which to explore the the Cote d'Azur and is just 25 minutes from Nice Airport. St Paul de Vence and Antibes are a short drive away and St Tropez and Monaco are about a 90 minutes drive.
Further details
The villa is located just outside the village of Speracedes a 10 minute walk along a safe residential road. Available shops: Boulangerie, Boucherie, L'Epicerie. Cafe/bar also serving food - lovely terrace. There is a hotel within the village that also has a restaurant.
Booking notes
To secure a booking a 25% deposit is required, the balance is due 8 weeks prior to taking the villa.

About the owner
We are a family of three living in Bath, UK. We purchased our villa in the south of France in 2004 as a holiday home. Our use is limited to school holidays only and therefore we have chosen rent the property throughout the year.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Following many visits to the Grasse area we chose to purchase a property, finally deciding on a villa located within walking distance of the village of Speracedes. On viewing the property we were completely sold on the incredible panoramic views which reach as far as Cannes and Mandelieu. The property is on a very large plot. The area is unspoilt and typically French and still within easy reach of the coastal resorts of Cannes, Antibes, less than 20 minutes is the Lac St Cassien which have excellent water sports facilities in the summer, this is a firm favourite for friends and family that visit. Cabris with its wonderful restaurants is less than 5 minutes by car, or a 20 minute uphill walk through residential roads if you are feeling fit! Mougin is less than 15 minutes drive.
Unique benefits of the property
A typical day at the villa would start with a morning walk into the Village of Speracedes to collect croissant from the boulangerie, stopping off for a coffee to enjoy the views from the terrace of the Cafe. Within the village we have a boucherie, and lovely little l'epicerie (local store) which stocks local produce.
At the villa we have a private pool which is fenced but more importantly has a safety pool cover, a definitive safety precaution - once the cover is on, no child can enter - complete peace of mind. The terrace in front of the villa is also fenced to keep very young children safely contained! The garden is terraced, the property sits on a large plot, with Mediterranean plants such as lavender, we have over 50 olive trees, which provide lovely shade in the hot summer months.
