This great breton (Brittany) property has recently been tastefully restored to include 3 large bedrooms ,new fully equipped kitchen, large lounge with open fireplace and superb oak beams, 2 shower/bathrooms. The properly stands in its own large grassed garden which is surrounded on two sides by open fields overlooking the fantastic local countryside. The brittany stone cottage is close to the village of Tramain a ten minute walk where you can purchase your daily bread,have a drink in a typical french bar and receive a great welcome from the locals. A restaurant is also here. Jugon les Lacs is 10 minutes away with 4 restaurants, and the 2 mile lake. The medieval town of Dinan is a 15 minute drive and the larger town of Lamballe 10 minutes away with its weekly local market. It is ideally situated to explore the Brittany countryside , St Malo`s walled city and Le Mont St Michel a must to visit. Beaches in Brittany are sandy ,safe, and welcoming. This cottage in Brittany has it all.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed,bedside lamps, hanging space laminate flooring.Velux overlooking the countryside.
Bedroom 2 with double bed bedside lamps, hanging space, laminate flooring, velux with views.
Bedroom 3 with twin beds.
Bathrooms: Separate WC and shower room on the first floor for the use of the 2 double bedrooms.
Separate WC and large shower on the ground floor. Plenty of hot water all day available to service both shower rooms.
Kitchen: New fully fitted kitchen with new electric cooker, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Includes utensils knives forks etc and large table and chairs. Back door leads to the large garden.
Utility Room: Integrated into the kitchen a washing machine is available for use by our holiday makers.
Living Rooms: This is a large room with oak beams and large log fire. Its cool on those hot summer days. Its three large sofas give ample seating to watch the free view TV and has DVD and CD players plus a selection of films, books and games to keep everyone happy.
Other: Ideal location for a relaxing, destressing holiday. Everybody who has visited have left very complimentary comments some of which are available on our own (link below) with more photos.

The property is thoroughly cleaned PRIOR to your arrival and if you encounter problems our caretaker is on hand to deal with any issues promptly. Linen or towels are at a supplement arranged with us and payable in advance. Cost on request.

Notes on accommodation
Brittany property has electric central heating and log fire. We include 100 units of electric per week which is included in the rental price, anything over this allocation will be charged at £0.20 per unit and is paid at the end of rental. A meter reading will be taken before and after the let. 100 units of electricity will be more than enough for normal usage. This cottage in Brittany has been our holiday home for 7 years and we have tried to keep the ambiance of this Breton cottage during its renovation. The cottage itself is in a very quiet area along country lanes and in the countryside. Brittany itself has everything you need from sandy beaches to historic towns and villages. Tramain is within easy distance of Dinard airport, St Malo port or 1 hour 45 minutes from Caen or Roscoff, 2hours from Cherbourg. Beaches are 25 minutes away at Val Andre and St Cast and superb golf courses. De stress here for 7 or 14 days, as we have people returning year after year.

Accessibility
Sorry but not suitable for wheelchair users, but ok for mild disabilities as all bedrooms are via staircases.

Outside
Large grassed lawned area surrounded by fields on 2 sides, ideal for games like football, boules, badminton etc. Garden furniture sufficient for 8 people, parasol, sunloungers, bbq. Walk the area along the quiet country roads of Brittany it is fairly flat so it is an easy walk. Railway line close by giving occasional noise. Cycling is a great way to explore the area as well so bring your bikes. Jugon Les Lacs is a pretty Breton village swamped in flowers and hanging baskets with banks and several excellent restaurants. The lake is a must to visit with sailing and windsurfing. Lamballe is the large town close by with its weekly market and larger supermarkets to stock up on the wine and fresh sea food. Brittany does have it all for that relaxing getaway. Visit Le Mont St Michel a 45 minute drive but go early in summer months as it gets very busy. St Malo `s walled city near the port is also a great day out. And then Dinan with its medieval architecture and weekly market.

Coast/Beach
Beaches at Pleneuf Val Andre is 20 minutes away by car. You are spoilt for choice and there are beaches to suit everyone. Coves, long sandy gently shelving affording safe swimming for the children. Water sports available at St Cast including jet skis and banana rides, wind surfing, it really is all here in this area of Brittany.

Golf
Championship golf courses within 20 minute drive at Val Andre, St Cast, Dinard.

Skiing
Definately no skiing too flat and no snow!

Special interest holidays
Walking the local countryside or the coast path see the wild bird life, fishing the lakes or coastal waters, even the local wild animals. Whatever you are looking for its here in Tramain in Brittany.

Travel
Airport is about 25 miles away at Pleurtit Dinard, car hire is essential as taxis cost a fortune in France. The port of St Malo is 25 miles from the cottage and the port of Cherbourg is approximately 3 hours drive. Caen and Roscoff 1 hour 30 mins.

Distances
Dinan 25 minutes. Lamballe 10 minutes. Le Mont St Michel 45 minutes (go early as it is very popular). St Malo 35 minutes. Dinard Airport 35 minutes.

Further details
Restaurants anywhere are superb. Seafood is best up at the coast Dinard, St Cast, Val Andre. Dinan has a great array of restaurants including Chinese, Indian , Pizza, Creperies. Local bank in Jugon les Lacs with cash machines.

Booking notes
Short breaks available and special offers during low and mid season. Please ask. Booking requests by email or telephone. £200 Bond payable on booking, full payment required 6 weeks before booked dates. The Bond will be returned a few weeks after your holiday providing there are no expenses to deduct from it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the good weather and our days out to St Malo, Dinan, Le Mont-St -Michel and the zoo parc at La Bourbansais. We found the beaches superb at Le Val-Andre, Erquy, Sables-d'or-Les-Pins and St Lunaire, a credit to the area! Your directions to the Gite were excellent. We enjoyed the many walks at night along the country roads around Tramain which took us full circle back to the Gite. We also appreciated the local farmers doing their harvesting.
