This friendly traditional B&B is in the perfect position for exploring the coast and the Spice Route. This substantial 'Maison de maitre' stands on the coast road just 4km from the sea with wind-surfing, para-gliding, sailing and other water sports available in the nearby resorts. You are welcome to enjoy our garden and BBQ equipment, if you don't want to visit the gourmet restaurant next door or the many other restaurants in the villages nearby. The ports of Dieppe and St Valery en Caux are nearby, with the Normandy D-Day beaches only a 2-hr drive away. Enjoy a full English breakfast to set you up for a day's sightseeing in this beautiful part of France. Off street parking is available.

We have two large double bedrooms (Green Room and Red Room) which can be converted to twins if required, with the possibility of a third person in the Red Room on a z-bed.

The Green Room has an en-suite shower room. The Red Room has sole use of the adjacent bathroom.

Breakfast is served in the main lounge.
Included in the price is continental breakfast, but a full English breakfast is available for a supplementary charge.
As with all chambres d'hotes, an evening meal is available by prior arrangement.
Free WiFi is available.

 


Accessibility
The bedrooms are on the first floor, so are not suitable for wheelchairs or those unable to climb stairs.

Outside
There are two gardens, one on either side of the house.
Guest car parking is in one with the other has a large lawn. Guests are welcome to use the garden and BBQ.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 4km away at St Aubin, with others all along the coast (Veules les Roses, Quiberville, Pourville etc). The beaches are pebble, but with masses of sand at low tide. Locally caught fish is available in each harbour, direct from the fishing boats.

Nearly all water-sports are catered for at the local beaches, together with water-skiing etc at the water park in Cany Barville (30 min drive).

St Valery en Caux and Dieppe (both within 20 min drive) have yachting marinas.

Golf
The nearest golf course is located on the cliffs, 20 minutes away at Dieppe. It is 18 holes par 70 covering more than 100 acres. Length 6305 yards. Other courses include the stunning setting of the Etretat Golf Club which is a 45 min. drive. The Golf Couse has 18 holes, Par 72, length 6073m. On the road to Rouen, there is also Saint-Saëns Golf Club 18 hole par 71, on 80 hectares of beautiful grounds.

Travel
Use of a car is highly advisable. Newhaven-Dieppe ferry is 20 min away, Portsmouth-Le Havre 45 min. Boulogne and Calais are 2-2.5 hours away. There is a train connection from Dieppe to Paris, changing at Rouen.

Distances
The house is within the village of Le Bourg Dun which has a bar, grocery, boulangerie and church. St Aubin sur mer is 4km, Dieppe 25km, Veules le Roses 10km which boasts one of the shortest river in France. The gardens of Les Moulins in Varengville are 10km away.

Further details
Wonderful local markets are held in the nearby villages. Bicycle hire is available from the Tourist Office opposite the house. Nearest banks are in the local market town of Luneray 6km.
