Set in rolling countryside offering ample opportunities for walking, cycling or horseriding. The bakers van calls each morning. The small town of Lezan, 4km; Anduze (the Gateway to the Cevennes) and Quissac 9km each, and the medieval village of Sauve 8km have good shopping facilities, open-air markets, cafes, bars, and restaurants. Anduze has a number of antique shops and an excellent Sunday flea market, whilst Sauve has many interesting and unusual artisan shops, and its setting, built between the high cliffs and the River Gardon, make it an essential place to visit.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. The house is available all year including Christmas and New Year.
£25 per week for all towels/linen. Long winter lets available at discounted prices - please contact owner.

Changeover day
Arrival day is Saturday between 4.30pm and 7pm. We ask that you telephone the Owner at least 1 hour before your arrival so that she can meet you. Departure is the following Saturday, not later than 10am.

Utility Room: Fridge/freezer, double sink; washing machine, tumble dryer. Iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Salon/living room, 8m x 5m. 2 oversize sofas, pine furniture television with French and English satellite, DVD player, video player, CD player. French windows to garden.
Library/reading room. 2 double sofas. Books.
Other: Office: There is the possibility of a further twin bedroom (without en-suite) available on request.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All linen and towels (including swimming towels) are supplied at an additional cost of £25 per week per booking. The house is cleaned on changeover days at owners expense.

 

Notes on accommodation
The swimming pool is enclosed in its own area with a wall and metal railings and a lockable gate, in accordance with EU Law.
There is full gas fired central heating throughout the house.

Outside
There are 1400 sq.m. of landscaped gardens, arranged in different sections: the gravelled garden, the courtyard garden, the English garden and the pool area, and the very large terrace. The pool is completely private. It measures 8.5m x 4.5m and uses salt which converts to natural chlorine. There are loungers, parasols and small tables for around the pool. Benches, small tables and chairs are placed around the garden for use. There is a gas barbecue. The terrace overlooks the lawn and flower beds, and is enclosed by walls and railings. It has a large table and chairs, plus smaller tables and chairs for guests use.

Coast/Beach
The Camargues and a number of beaches are about 1 hour away.

Golf
1 golf course within 15 minutes drive.
Other golf courses within an hour's drive.

Travel
There are airports at Nimes (40 mins) and Montpellier (1 hour) Both served by Ryanair plus Easyjet to Montpellier. Marseilles (a major International Airport) is about 1 hour 40 mins distance. The super-fast TGV train stops at Nimes, where passengers can also put their cars aboard a train and then travel with them to and from a number of towns and cities in Europe.

The rental is only confirmed after this payment has been made.
A deposit of £400 in the form of a personal cheque to cover breakages etc. should be sent with the final 50%, 8 weeks before arrival.
