A charming 1930s, detached house in the style of a Station Master's house, sits in a garden of 4000m2, close by the main house, and set amongst the market gardens, olive groves, and with the river Nartuby, along one side of the grounds. Easy and private parking, and secure garaging for a car, or motorbikes, if desired. Just 3kms NW, from the town of Draguignan, in a peaceful and private setting. It is the perfect place to venture between Mediterranean beaches, hills and mountains, the wonderful Gorges de Verdon and Lac Ste. Croix, and of course the popular hill villages like Lorgues, Fayence, Montauroux. Midway between Nice and Toulon airports, the high speed train (TGV) from London stops at Les Arcs which is a 20 minute drive away, and the A8 Auto-route is 15 minutes away. This is a family run venture, relaxed, friendly and welcoming, catering for the outdoor life and living in the Var countryside, with the hosts on hand to give advice and help, if needed.

Notes on accommodation
Please note that from Monday 26 May 2008, in accordance with having no set changeover days, and to help guests find the best travel deals to the South of France, we are changing the weekly rental charges to accommodate holiday periods of more/less than each calendar weekly prices.
Therefore, any extra/less days than the weekly amount, can be calculated as divisible by 7 (days).
Accessibility
Alas, not suitable for wheelchair users, and with steps into the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs, and the outside steps to the upper floor.
Also, we consider it unsuitable for young children and toddlers because of the steps within the main living/beroom areas.
Babies of course are welcome, but parents would not thank us for the constant supervision and watching of the young adventurous toddler.
Outside
6 metal dining chairs with cushions and mosaic tiled dinner table. Two sun loungers and mats beside the 9m x 5m tiled swimming pool which is 5'6" in depth throughout. Drinks fridge and drinks/counter top in pool house and a charcoal BBQ.
The swimming pool is salt water and has an alarm but we DO INSIST that all children must be supervised at all times. Although it is a private pool, for only one group of guests ever staying in the house, we would ask permission to allow our family to occasionally use the facilities.
Coast/Beach
The beaches at St. Maxime, St. Raphael, Frejus and Cannes are all easily reached within the hour. To get to St. Tropez, it is recommended in the summer months to leave the car at St. Raphael or St. Maxime and take the excellent and frequent ferry services.
Golf
Many golf courses lie within an hour's drive. Terreblanche/St. Andreol/Roquebrune/Valescure and The Estorel in St. Raphael, Beauvallon and St. Tropez.
Travel
Nice Airport is 60 minutes as is the airport at Toulon/Hyeres. The nearest TGV station is 20 minutes away. A car is recommended.
Distances
Draguignan is 3kms.
By car: Lorgues and Les Arcs are 20 minutes. Abbey de Thoronet is 45 minutes. The Gorges of Verdon, Moustiers, and Lac St. Croix are 60 minutes. Cannes is 40 mins, Marseilles is 65 mins and Monte Carlo is 1 hour 20 minutes.
Further details
Draguignan is a working town with every facility necessary for the holidays, with a market on most days, and all roads leading to beautiful Provencal villages and countryside, perfect for families, touring, walking, cycling and biking. All your needs for a self-catering holiday are but a short drive away, and to start you off, there is a basic 'welcome pack' for your first breakfast.
Indeed, on occasion, and with a bit of notice, you can arrange for a simple meal to await your return after a busy day exploring the wonderful surrounding coast and countryside.
It should be noted that, although there is in place a basic insurance cover, it is advisable that our guests bring with them a holiday insurance to cover persons, and accidents (including the swimming pool), and that we cannot predict Acts of God nor terrorism, and we can all suffer from elctricity and water cuts. It would be helpful to pay for any breakages as they happen or certainly by the end of the holiday.
For prospective clients who do not speak English, we both speak French.
Booking notes
There is no length of stay requirements, nor set arrival and departure dates. A 25% deposit is payable on booking, with the balance payable 4 weeks before arrival, and confirmed by email. Failure to pay the balance automatically cancels the holiday and forfeits the deposit.
Cancellation, after the full amount has been paid, is only re-payable in full, save a 5% handling charge, if the house can be re-let. Payments are usually by direct payment to a UK bank account.
