Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday and guests are asked to arrive between 15h00 and 18h00 and to vacate the apartment by 10am on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
Secure and private car parking, operated by electronic gates (for which a fob is provided).
For guests with babies or young children there are cots and pushchairs etc, available to hire within a 2 minute walk of the apartment.
Outside
The lounge leads onto a good sized balcony, equipped with outdoor furniture, overlooking the pool and with a sea view.
Coast/Beach
The beach is sandy and safe for children and only a 5 minute walk away.
Travel
Perpignan and Carcassone airports (45 mins drive away). Ryanair offer discounted flights to both airports. Other operators go to Girona and Toulouse from Birmingham and East Midlands. Car hire recommended.
Distances
Narbonne with it's beautiful cathedral and excellent indoor food market 20 mins drive. The beautiful medieval walled city of Carcassone 1 hour drive.
Further details
Boat hire available in the Marina, also a weekly market is held in the village. The following are available to hire within 2mins walk of the apartment: cycles, tandems, children's pedal cars, infant’s cots, pushchairs and pedalos. Sea fishing and diving is also available. The stunning countryside around Gruissan is surrounded by the Etangs-lagoons (salt lakes) and 'La Clape Mountains'. It is a very green and luscious area and guide leaflets are available for walking/mountain biking.
The area is popular with bird watchers particularly the L'lle St Martin area for more information please contact owner should you require weblink addresses.
Booking notes
A deposit of £100 is required with the booking form and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A £100 security deposit is also required to cover any accidental damage and is refundable after any adjustments.
Guest comments
We really liked Gruissan and surrounding area, very interesting. The weather was hot when we first arrived but then became very windy (not beach weather). However, it calmed down and we were able to spend time on the beach and in the pool later in our week. We visited quite a few places including Carcassone and Fontroide Abbey and picked up some updated tourist information leaflets which we've left behind for you (tucked into the folders). We were very pleased with your apartment. It's very nice, clean and in an ideal position. The wine and water were most welcome and we made good use of the cooking facilities, thanks. About the owner
We are a couple of "baby boomers" who have plenty of energy left and have visited various holiday destinations, mostly for hiking. We enjoy exploring hidden areas, historic locations, old villages and mountain areas.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We decided to buy in Gruissan after looking in Spain and France. We came across Gruissan purely by chance after arranging to meet an estate agent there (who did'nt turn up).
After seeing the Medieval castle and village set alongside the "Etang" (salt lake) on our drive into Gruissan we realised this was a special place.
Unique benefits of the property
We love the apartment because of it's closeness to the beach and marina, and the lovely drive towards Gruissan surrounded by vineyards and chateaux are wonderfull.
We use the apartment as a base for exploring the many medieval villages and towns such as Minerve, Lagrasse, Narbonne city and the famous medieval walled town of Carcassonne.
We also enjoy visiting the Sunday antique markets it gives us a chance to try out our French on the locals!
