A large and spacious dining area and living room with a traditional stone inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. Outside a small south facing terrace and large informal garden. The house is beautifully yet comfortably furnished for a great family get away. The location is perfect for walks and cycling [cycle hire is available locally].

The barn has 2 staircases not suitable for people with mobility problems, but does have one bedroom and the bathroom on the ground floor which are suitable.

Outside a small south facing terrace and large informal garden with it’s own caves traditional to the area. The grounds are extensive and surrounded by rolling countryside. Barbecue and outdoor furniture is included.
Coast/Beach
The Atlantic beaches at La Rochelle are approx 2 hours drive.
Travel
The jouney from Calais is 5 hours with excellent autoroutes.
It is 1 hour from Poitier or just over 1 hour's drive from Tours [both Ryan air destinations].
Distances
10 mins drive to the historic Fontevraud L,Abbaye. 15mins from Candes St martin and Montsoreau both on the banks of the Loire. 15mins from Chinon, Michelin starred restaurant. 20 mins from Saumur, great shopping. Countless beautiful Chateau's within one hours drive.
Further details
The location is perfect for walks and cycling [cycle hire is available locally]. The local Chateaux wine caves/ tasting are open all year and the Loire has excellent canoeing and boat trips all within a 15 minute car journey. The local town has an excellent patisserie and a well stocked small supermarket.

Changeover day normally Saturday. All linen and towels provided. Travel cot available. 25% deposit secures booking. Balance to be paid one month prior to arrival. Hospitality package available on arrival at extra cost. Extra £45 for electric heaters (recommended ) in winter months. Firewood also available £ 30 per week
