Tick Tock Cottage is perfect for that ideal French vacation. Set in a lovely village where you can walk to the bar and enjoy a bottle of wine with the locals and also get your cakes and breads from Mr Cesar who is the best baker in the area. If you don’t fancy the bar why not chill out in the garden and enjoy relaxing in the new swimming pool. The pool is a wooden permanant structure. (measuring 13ft x 13ft and is approx 4ft deep) . The cottage is situated on the edge of Saint Sever Forest and we have bikes available for hire if you fancy exploring. Also the cottage is only a 5 minute drive from the local pony club who do rides out in the forest.

Changeover day
Saturday is our preferred day of arrival, however this is flexible depending on bookings. Departure time is 10am and arrival time is between 2-4pm Longer lets are available.
Accommodation

| Living Rooms: | Spacious sitting room decorated in a contemporary style. The room accommodated a large black leather sofa which doubles up as a bed, for an extra two guests. The room has a log burning fire and a large flat screened TV with a dvd player. |

We do provide bedding and towels, this is included in the price, however, we do expect that guests leave the cottage clean and tidy upon their departure. |

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation has central heating and is very warm and comfortable. The property is both ideal for summer and winter holidays.
The cottage is very pretty and is ideal for anyone wanting a relaxing or romantic break.
The cottage as mentioned has an excellent quality leather bed settee which makes into a double bed so the cottage can accommodate 2 extra people. We also have a cot available and a small childs bed should one be required in the upstairs bedroom. The cottage is suitable for children as it has the swimming pool and has a very private safe garden.
Outside
The property has a lovely garden with a private area that accommodates a new swimming pool. the garden is very private and is fully enclosed.
Coast/Beach
The glorious beaches of Granville and Julouville are only 40 minutes drive away. The D.Day landing beaches are approx 1 hour away. Granville is a cosmopolitan town with many ‘Tres Chic’ boutiques. Why not stroll along the harbour and try one of the many delightful fish restaurants. If you fancy a day trip to Jersey or a tour around the Chanel Islands you can catch the ferry in Granville. The ferry is very good value and the shopping in Jersey is wonderful.
Golf
The cottage is only 10 minutes from Lake Dathee where there is a 19 hole golf course. Golf lessons can also be arranged (must be arranged before holiday commences).
Special interest holidays
Mesnil Clinchamps there is a craft shop that offers lessons in patchwork quilting, decoupage, hardanger (French embroidery) and jewellery making. The lessons take place in the shop and are very enjoyable. Please discuss at the time of booking. Hores-riding lessons can also be arranged, together with boating and wind-surfing.
Travel
The nearest Airport is Dinard. Ryan Air operates flights from Stansted, Bristol and EastMidlands. The distance from Brouains is 1 hour 20 mins. Car hire is available, however, airport transfer is possible, this is worthwhile if you are planning a cycling or walking holiday at the cottage. In addition Taylor Made holidays can be arranged including Taster days and French Tuition. Alternatively if you wish to bring your car then the nearest ports are Caen or Cherbourg.(1 hour approx).

Further details
The pretty village of St Sever is only a 5 min drive away from the cottage and on Saturday morning it holds a lovely farmers market where the local farmers come to sell therir delicious normandy produce, the food is very fresh and tasty but also excellent value Tuesday mornings selling lots of delicious Normandy produce. Also visit the huge Depot Vente in Saint Sever which sells 2nd hand furniture, ornaments and other fascinating things. The town of Vire is only 10 mins drive which is a large town boasting many fantastic shops. Why not try a trip in November and December and visit the quaint Christmas Markets. The restaurant is open both for lunch and evening meals.
In the village of St Sever which is 10 minutes from the cottage there is a large open air swimming pool and again many bars. You cannot however, come on holiday to Normandy without visit to Mont St Michel which is approx a 40 min drive away. The Mont has been named by the Guardian Newspaper as one of the top 10 romantic places to visit in the world. I don't think they are wrong. If you have teenagers or a feeling like a daredevil why not visit Hackets Adventure Park. You could try Bungee Jumping from the viaduct that was designed by Gustaff Eifel (guaranteed to blow away your cobwebs).

Bookings can be made by telephone or email. A deposit of £100 will secure your booking. We offer a 25% discount on Brittany Ferries for bookings made for 2012 (this applies to bookings made between September and October 31st 2011). After this date we offer 20% discount. We also offer our guests an early bird discount for 2012 bookings plus a loyalty discount for any return guests who have stayed with us both in France and the UK.
