The Le Vieux Logis gite is situated in a small and peaceful farming hamlet with beautiful views of the open countryside which can be enjoyed from its own terrace area or enclosed garden. The gite is very spacious and comfortable and has all the home comforts in place to ensure that our guests can relax and unwind to enjoy that well earned perfect holiday. There are adult and children's bikes on site for our guests to use during their stay. The gite is ideally situated to explore most of the major attractions that the Anjou region has to offer. We are only 3km away from the lovely historic town of Montreuil Bellay which boasts a charming chateau and there are lovely walks to enjoy along the river 'Thouet'. We are ideally located for those who have a keen interested in the well acclaimed wines of 'Anjou', there are several vineyards close by who will welcome you in for a tour and wine tasting.

Changeover day
Changeover dates are usually Saturday, arrival time from 2pm and departure time no later than 11am. Although these can be changed by prior arrangement.

Bedroom 1:- Large double bedroom, original stone flooring, beams and exposed stone walls. En suite shower, basin and WC. There is a sofa which converts into a bed for a small child and a cot can be added thus making this into a family room for two adults & two children if required. The room is very tastefully furnished and there is a TV, radio alarm clock, tea & coffee making facilities, reading lamps & hairdryer. Bedroom 2:- Twin bedroom with en-suite bath, shower, basin and WC. Beamed bedroom which has been decorated in a modern and comfortable style incorporating the original features of this 200 year old farmhouse. There is a TV, tea & coffee making facilities, radio alarm clock, hairdryer & reading lamps. Telephone and Internet is available upon request for a small charge. Use of owners lounge to read or watch satellite TV. There is a flowered sheltered terrace area where breakfast can be taken weather permitting. |

The nearest beach is 1 hour 30 min away and is directly accessible by motorway.
Golf
The nearest golf course is in Saumur which is 20km away.
Travel
There are 3 nearby airports (Tours, Angers and Poiters) all offering budget airlines.
By train - we are only 1 hour 30 min away from Paris on the TGV.
From Calais we are a comfortable 5 hours drive using the motorways.
Distances
Our nearest village of Montreuil Bellay is 3 mins drive away or 10 mins by bike. Within 15 mins drive away you will discover the towns of Saumur with its wonderful chateau and world famous equestrian centre, the pretty town of Doue La Fontaine with one of Europe's finest zoos and the acient town of Thouars with its spectacular views over the valley.
There is a host of tourist information provided to help you discover the other attractions that this part of the loire has to offer.

Montreuil Bellay is a very well serviced village where you will find supermarkets, banks, bakers, butchers, newsagents, doctors, bars & restaurants.
There is a open air swimming pool and canoe hire in the summer months.

A 30% deposit will secure your booking, this can be made by sterling cheque, this will be returned when full payment in Euros has been made upon your arrival.
