Linen available for all the rooms, including bath and pool towels; apartment is cleaned at start of every rental period by local cleaner who provides keys and inventory. She is also available for work by renters as required at cost. |
Notes on accommodation
The chateau is well equipped for family with extended wall garden with many activities within it; one set of stairs, small children would need to be accompanied; fun round turret bedroom! Walls of chateau are 17th century so beautifully quiet.
Accessibility
Wheelchair access possible through entrance on terrace, though requires one step onto patio.
Outside
Large terrace in private garden leading from double doors from kitchen, where dining table (seats 12) is placed during summer; all meals tend to be outside June, July, August, September. Large family BBQ. Shared use of 30' pool, with sun lounger, safety gate, no guard, children under 12 must be accompanied; garden furniture included in rental.
Coast/Beach
10 minutes away, Lac St Croix, one of France's largest inland lakes, allows local water sports, sailing, wind surfing, swimming, beach picnics, with alps rising in distance; clean water, no fuel power allowed. Further way, Mediterranean resorts such as St Tropez, Cassis fun for day trips (busy in August).

Travel
Extremely well positioned: 11 hour direct drive (eg from Sangatte) though can be longer in August. 1.5 hours from Marseille airport. 1.5 from Nice airport. Aix en Provence TGV 40 minutes. Good SNCF train links at various local towns.
Distances
10 minute drives to local villages: Regusse - with supermarket, small weekly market. Quinson - with local restaurants, charming backstreets. 20 minutes to Aups or Riez with bi-weekly bustling markets.

Riez and Aups have full range of facilities such as banks, shops, supermarkets, small hospital (Riez), bars and choice of restaurants.
