A spacious, light and airy top floor of a traditional Collioure Maison de Ville, your accommodation boasts fantastic views over the town of Collioure and up to the Fort St Elme. It sleeps four with one double bedroom plus a good sized sleeping area off the lounge providing another double comfortable and cosy sleeping place. The new kitchen comes with fridge freezer, four ring induction hob, oven and microwave. You have a large shower and separate WC. On the terrace there is a BBQ for some sizzling fare, over gardens.

Changeover day
Short breaks and non-Saturday starts are available except in high season. Departure time is by 10.00 and arrival time is 16.00 or later by arrangement. I live nearby!

Accessibility
The property is on the top floor of a three apartment building, However because of its hillside location you get the best level for sunshine plus street level access - the front door has about ten steps up from the pavement.
Outside
The terrace is full with pots of plants, the floor is covered with fake lawn. It is big enough and quiet. There's a barbecue, a table with three chairs, and a parasol. The view is wonderful, on the hills in the distance and the fort- st - elme, and below, there are gardens.
Coast/Beach
In Collioure itself you have a choice of beaches - pebbled or sandy - of which the main ones have safe swimming zones and lifeguards in season. The beaches stretch from the town for a total of 15km. Many are never crowded and there is an abundance of parking in most places. 20 mins away is an inland lake at Villeneuve de la Raho, again with lifeguards and safety zone, where younger children will have a whale of a time!
Skiing
Font romeu ski resort at 2 hrs and a half, by car.
Travel
If you are planning to travel by car you have an 11-13 hour drive depending on port and route. Leave room in the car for your shopping! The Spanish border is just a 40 minute drive away offering low, low prices on alcohol, tobacco and almost anything else! By plane (drive times in brackets) including Perpignan (40 mins), Gerona (75 mins), Carcassonne (90 mins), Toulouse (2h 30 mins), Nimes (2hrs), Montpellier (2hrs), and Barcelona (2h 30 mins). A car is not vital once you are here.
Distances
Within 2 hours drive you have: St Cyprien Plage (20mins) – a large, modern marina and port with stunning mainly empty beaches and loads of parking; Gerona (60mins) a bustling but ancient Spanish city; Carcassone’s (90mins) castellated splendour; Barcelona (150 mins) Spain’s second city; Andorra & The Pyrenees (130 mins). Once home to Picasso, Ceret is also well worth a visit (30 mins). Local buses and trains are available from the town centre.

Collioure is a fully fledged town with all the necessary facilities, plus loads of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. Your dining choices range from take-away pizzas to gourmet favourite – the Michelin starred ‘Le Neptune’. All this and countless galleries reflecting Collioure’s Fauvist art heritage, gift stores, and two farmers’ markets a week. There is a choice of restaurants all year round and a local surgery if needed. Our comprehensive guest guide receives glowing praise and includes restaurant reviews and loads of 'do and see' ideas!
During the week commencing August 9th Collioure will start it's big party week of the year - Fêtes de la Saint Vincen - four days of music, dancing, and general celebration. For guests arriving on the 9th you have all sorts of fun to join in or just watch. For guests arriving for the week commencing August 16th, you arrive on the last night just in time for a firework display that will blow you right away!
Booking notes
Booking is simple. E-mail us with the dates you would like. We'll send you an e-brochure (pdf) enabling a closer look with more photos. A booking deposit of 30% is secures your reservation and the balance is due 6 weeks before your holiday starts. A damage deposit of €250 is payable 2 weeks prior to arrival. We recommend PayPal the secure international internet payment system using most of the popular debit or credit cards. Should this system not appeal please ask for your other options.

My guests say that they feel "at home" and that the place is wide and very comfortable and convenient. Also, they like the idea of being not in the deep center of Collioure because they appreciate the quietness of the place ! And collioure in the summer is crowded and noisy.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
It is the family house, it belonged to my grandparents and my mum. I love this house and it represents all the happy memories of my childhood. Full of love and full of fun. Collioure is the best place to be in the summer.
Unique benefits of the property
It is very quiet because it is not in the center which is very noisy in the summer. And it is close to everything by foot at the same time.
