Le Domaine de la Cadenède is a wonderful place to celebrate a special event. Situated in a fabulous position right in front of the Millau viaduct, La Cadenède is a beautifully fortified residence of the Templar period, magnificently renovated that will seduce you by its convivial nature, its peace, the beauty of its stonework and by the many leisure activities you can enjoy either on the spot or in the surrounding area. On spot : secured swimming pool 14 x 7 m, volley ball, pétanque, 12 mountainbikes, fitness room, table tennis, table soccer, billiards, piano. All this set in a 7 acres garden equipped with lightening and sound system for your evenings outside. Located 4 km from Millau, it is a good place to enjoy many tourist sites : the Brocuejouls roman chapel, Peyre village, Gorges du Tarn, Roquefort cheese caves, Larzac Templars and many different sport activities such as : paragliding, caving, rock climbing, Via Ferrata, hiking, horse-riding, mountain-biking, canoeing, kayaking

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros, up to 25 persons. Except during high season, weekend rentals are accepted. Contact us for short period prices. All charges are included: central heating, wood for fireplaces, maintaining the pool and the garden, final cleaning and 4 hours on Tuesday, towels and linen are provided.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday for week rentals.
Arrival time is 5pm and departure time is 10am.

Bedrooms: Our 12 bedrooms are decorated with paintings and tapestries of 18ème century. The 12 rooms belongs to 3 independent flats (Troubadours, Templiers and Causse Rouge), each of them with a living room.
Bathrooms: Our 7 bathrooms have shower cabin and 2 of them have also bath. There are 9 wc inside the house.
Kitchen: There are 4 kitchens. One of them is a summer kitchen with barbecue near the pool. An other is in the "old stables" dining-room. All our kitchens have complete equipment: cooker, oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave...
Living Rooms: You can gather all together in Troubadours living room and enjoy its vast fireplace with coat of arms belonging to Lord Sambucy de Courtines who lived ther in 1650. Some of you can prefer the billiard living room also with fireplace. There are 3 TV.
Other: Wide dining room 65 m² in the old stables on ground floor, with full equiped kitchen and monumental tables, up to 30 persons. During summertime, maybe you will prefer pool dining room.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and towels are supplied and beds are prepared for your arrival. Cleaning the house at the end of the stay is include + 4 hours during the week. Garden and pool maintenance is also included in our prices.

La Cadenède is 4km from the city centre of Millau where you will find all conveniences.

Booking notes
30% of rental fee due on booking. 70% of rental fee due 4 weeks before your arrival by bank transfer. Breakage deposit giving credit card information. You can rent the whole house, for a week or a weekend.

Karsten: A perfect spot! We are a group of 25-30 people which meets each year for one week. La Cadenede was our fourth house/château we have rented and it was the best of all!

About the owner
I was born in Hendaye (near Biarritz) where my parents already live. With Philippe (my husband) and our 4 children, we are living in Toulouse. Philippe was born in Millau, as one part of my mother’s family.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
With 8 years of good experience with renting Buffarel, we were thinking to buy a second holiday house and, in 2002, we had the information that la Cadenède was to be sold. We already knew this house because everybody who likes running or trekking in Millau knows this wonderful manor on the top of the surroundings of the town. We have made big works in the house and built the swimming-pool. In 2004 we have created the summer kitchen and in 2006 the wide dinning room in the old stables.

Unique benefits of the property
Our holidaymakers like to rent la Cadenède because they can invite all the members of their family or all their friends or colleagues. They can ask for catering or home cooker (or prepare their own meals), use music all around the house and the park (there are no caretaker and no neighbours), make parties in the garden during the evening and night (all the park can be lighted + very strong spots showing the walls of the house), practice a lot of sports inside the house and all around Millau (or prefer to rest around the swimming-pool and the park). Motorway is only 6 km from Cadenede, railway station 4 km, helipad on the spot (that has been used for the movie “Mister Bean holidays”). Someones like so much our house that they have rent la Cadenede 4 times since 2002 !
