Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day - please try to leave by 10 am and arrive after 4pm. We'll do our best to fit in with your arrival times and will be happy to 'stock up' the fridge with essentials (including the wine!) before you arrive.

Accessibility
Access to the house is up a steep flight of stairs; there is access up a gentle slope in the garden then 2-3 steps,
Outside
Large shady garden with private 8 x 4m pool (unheated) which is open between early May and end September. Pool alarm. 2 sun loungers provided, as well as garden furniture. The garden is very pretty, with numerous fruit trees, vines and a lovely wisteria covered terrace just outside the kitchen - ideal for lunch. A large hammock is provided for the post-lunch siesta!
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach/coast is Montpellier, approx 3 hours drive.
Golf
Golf courses at Rodez and Albi (approx 1 hour's drive).
Travel
The nearest airport is Rodez airport (Ryanair from Stansted) which is only 40 minutes drive. Toulouse is 2 hours by car (Air France, British Airways). Limoges airport is 2.5 hours; Bergerac and Carcassonne about 3. Nearest station is Villefranche de Rouergue.
Distances
Villeneuve is 5 minutes by car and offers everything you need - small supermarket, boulangeries, 2 butchers, bars and brasseries and one very good restaurant. Villefranche de Rouergue with its colourful Thursday market is 20 minutes in one direction; Figeac, with its sophisticated restaurants, museum and sparkling Saturday morning market is 20 minutes in the other.
Further details
There's no end of places to enjoy and explore: within an hour you'll find medieval Conques with its stunning setting and church; the beautiful Lot and Cele valleys, dotted with artistic hilltop villages like St Cirque la Popie; the wine making areas of Gaillac, historic Roquamadour, and the Sunday morning markets in St Antonin Noble Val and Limogne in Quercy. There's at least one wonderful Michelin starred restaurant (Belcastel) for a special treat and you can spend a day exploring Toulouse (by car, or train, which takes you through some lovely scenery) or visiting Cahors and the wine making area of the Quercy blanc.
Booking notes
Booking form supplied to confirm booking: a 25% deposit is taken at time of booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before arrival. A £100 refundable security deposit in case of breakages is also payable on booking and will be returned immediately after your stay.
House swap
Houseswap considered - the house is also available as a long let, Winter or Summer, a great idea if you are thinking of moving to France and want a 'taster'.
