In a quiet rural village named Savignac de Miremont, on a south facing slope overlooking a little valley with woods and pastures, a lovely stone house can become your home for a week or more. The cottage, 'la Grange', has been lovingly restored by its former owners without losing anything of its rustic charm, with tile floor, exposed stone work, and oak beams. The swimming pool takes full advantage of the view across the countryside and is surrounded by a low wall of local honey coloured stone in keeping with the other buildings. On a lower terrace, you will find a bowl court, where you may learn (or teach) how to play 'petanque' during the sunny afternoon hours. The cottage has its own garden (with furniture) easy to reach if you want to eat out, unless you prefer to stay on the terrace by the swimming pool. This house is ideal for a couple or even for three people, but guests can also drop in and use the convertible bed. An ideal spot to discover the Black Perigord.

'La Grange is a magnificent gîte! Our first trip to France has been a most perfect experience, with the help of Marianne and Adolphe "holding our hands" and guiding us to the local lovely villages.' Roy and Sandra H. Virginia. USA
'What a great place! La Grange is beautifully fitted, a lot of thought and care shows in the place. It truly exceeded our expectations. The view is superb - watch for the deer! The area is very serene in the village and surrounding Le Bugue, where there is plenty to do. We may take you up on the offer of French lessons next time!' Lindsay and Peter D. from Salisbury. UK
'Savignac de Miremont is an idyllic little village, perfectly situated for exploring the Dordogne. If you are interested in the caves, it is worth going to pech Merle, although Font de Gaume and Rouffignac are also awe inspiring. We enjoyed the experience of the markets in Sarflat, St Cyprien and Le bugue. Happy travels to all who read this!' Stephanie P.and John K. London. Canada
