La Marette Gites in Cote d Armor, Brittany, two gites both beautifully and newly restored for the 2008 season from typical Bretagne farm buildings. Each cottage is equipped to a very high standard to make your stay in France a home from home experience. Situated close enough to the N12 to be a great advantage to reach airports, ports and cities, but not so close as to be a nuisance. The medieval town of Dinan is only 20 minutes away, St Malo port 50 minutes, Dinard airport 30 minutes, Renne airport 40 minutes and the north coast of Brittany only 45 minutes away. For children or the more energetic amongst us, the 2 acre garden has goal posts, badminton net, trampoline, boule etc. A BBQ area is also available for guests to cook alfresco. Although the gites are beautifully equipped for self catering, in high season every evening (except Sunday) a 'plat du jour' is prepared from wonderful local and home produced ingredients and can be ordered for delivered to your gite.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday but it may be possible to arrange short breaks, long weekends and 10 day stays.

Newly refurbished for 2008 A 2 bedroom cottage with a wealth of old oak beams and many original features. South facing patio area Double mezzanine bedroom with beautiful original oak beams, metal bedstead with quality French linen and covers. Natural sea grass floor covering. The second bedroom has a small double bed (4ft / 120cm ) and a single bed, exposed oak beams and stripped oak floor. Stylish new bathroom with feature cupboard top basin, wc and bath with shower attachment and screen. The open plan dining area allows the cook to be part of the party. Ceramic tile flooring, exposed beams, dining area and very comfortable sofas with lovely accessories. English TV, DVD and CD players. Brand new Schmidt kitchen area for 2008. All home from home appliances, electric hob and cooker, dishwasher, washer / dryer, stainless steel cooker hood, large fridge, microwave etc. ceramic tile floor. |

Outside
La Marette has a lovely orchard area with seating for a quick glass of wine along with areas for children or more energetic amongst us, with goal posts, badminton net, trampoline, boule etc. A BBQ area is also available for guests to cook alfresco. Eat your alfresco meal in the orchard or on your own private south facing patio area outside your gite.
Coast/Beach
Just 45 minutes to the north coast of Brittany where the numerous beautiful beaches vary from the well established with many laid on activities to the wild and rugged. A beach for everyone.
Travel
Nearest ferry port is St Malo just 50 minutes away and we are close to the airports at Dinard 30 mins and Renne 40 mins. Other ferry ports for easy access are Roscoff 2 hours, Caen 2 hours, Cherbourge 2 hours 30 mins, Le Havre 3 hrs 30 mins. If you prefer travel under the sea instead of over the waves then the drive from the Channel Tunnel is a very manageable 5 hours 30 mins.
Distances
Caulnes the local village offers all of the day to day conveniences and is just 5 minutes down the road, The medieval town of Dinan is only 20 minutes away, St Malo port 50 minutes, Dinard airport 30 minutes, Renne airport 40 minutes and the north coast of Brittany only 45 minutes away.
Booking notes
Bookings must be confirmed in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental fee. The balance of the rental fee is payable eight weeks before the start of your holiday. A damage security deposit of £100 is required at time of arrival.
We are sorry but no pets are allowed. Our cottages are non-smoking. We accept payment in UK pounds sterling or euros. Payments can be made by cheque drawn on UK or European banks or by credit card online via PayPal.
