A very large 400 yr old house well equipped and tastefully decorated with all character features, set within walking distance of the town of Rochechouart which has a brilliant range of shops, hotels and bars, 40 minutes south of limoge.
Cheap flights from the UK to Limoge (30mins), Potier(1hr 30min), Bergrac (2hrs), La Rochelle (2hrs 30mins). Sleeping maximum of 10 in 4 large bedrooms all with en-suites, ground floor wheelchair. Access by wheelchair to bedroom at the rear of the house. 2 large lounges. Fully equipped kitchen, utility room, dining area. Terrace and court yard and lots of parking. Prices include just about everything: Heating, electricity, bed linen, tea towels and cleaning. Starter park: bottle of wine, bread, butter, milk. We include wood in the winter. We do not provide towels.

Notes on accommodation
Prices include about everything. There is heating in all rooms, log burner in ground floor lounge for those chilly evenings.
Electricity, fresh bedlinen, tea towels, cleaning, and our welcome starter pack, a bottle of wine, bread, butter, milk.
Wood in the winter, excludes towels. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Wheelchair access. Wheelchair access to the bedrooms is at the rear of the property.
Outside
There is a terrace on the second level that has lovely views and is very relaxing. The court yard is on ground level and has a wood store. It's a beautiful place to sit out and eat a meal. At the rear of the house is parking in the drive way for 3 cars also with access to second floor. There is extra parking to the front of the house if needed.
Coast/Beach
Local leisure lake with man made beach, restaurant and bar. 15 minutes drive.
Golf
Golf course within 10 minutes drive.
Special interest holidays
Horse riding available locally, fishing available on private lakes and rivers. Sailing and jet ski. Water colour painting courses [must be pre booked].
Travel
Limoges airport, 30 minutes. Potier airport, 1hr 30min. Bergrac airport 2hrs. La rochelle airport 2hrs 30 mins. All by car.

Saint Junien 9km, Brantome approx 50kms, Oradour-sur-glane 20km. Limoges 45km, Lakes of the charente and leisure park 10km.
Further details
Rochechouart has everything you will need while here on holiday. Limosin has some of the best landscapes in France.
There are swimming lakes, sandy beaches within 15minutes.
The abundance of lakes and rivers within the limousin also means that including the fantastic canoeing and sailing locations it is also great for fishing. The chateau is a beautiful and lovely to explore and its only a 5minute walk from la belle maison. In limoge (40mins) by car, you can spend the day and discover interesting boutiques, medieval churches, restaurants, antique markets. Limoge is also famous for its poreclain and old quarters. There are many places to explore detail of great places to discover are in out welcome pack.

September 2009: thank you very much for a lovely holiday! We could not of wished for a nicer place to stay, we had everything we needed within the house and our children enjoyed there stay as much as we did. We will be back. Mr and Mrs Smithurst and family, Chedder, Somerset.
