Newly converted gite situated in a rural hamlet. The A20 is 30 mins away and is ideal for stopovers when driving through France. Outside you have a private patio area with BBQ and large garden with it's mature fruit trees surrounded by rural farm land. Take a wander up through the forest, which is just across the lane and onto the Monts de Blond. There you find breathtaking views over the surrounding area and Haute Vienne. About 1/2hr away is Lac St Pardoux where you have a choice of 3 beaches one of which has a watersports centre. The historic capital city of the region Limoges is 30 mins away and offers excellent shopping, aquarium, botanical gardens, museums and is famous worldwide for it porcelain. 20 mins away are the medieval towns of Bellac and St Junien, both offer excellent shopping, bars/cafes and restaurants.

Notes on prices
Special summer rate (5/7/08 - 6/9/08) £235.00/week or £40.00/night.Prices are for the property per week/night in UK pounds.

Please add on £10 for a single night rental. All electric inclusive except from the end of October to the end of April when it is charged per unit.

Changeover day
Weekly change over day is Saturday but can be flexible. Arrival time is after 3pm and departure time is 10am.

Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave etc.
Living Rooms: Living area with Log burner, Satellite TV, Hi Fi, and DVD player. Large sofa for 3rd person (note - shower room is accessed through the bedroom). Not suitable for 3 people if staying more than a few days.

All bed linen and towels are provided. Towels provided are not to be used outside of the gite.

Outside
Outside there is an enclosed patio area with BBQ and garden furniture which has countryside views.

Coast/Beach
There are 3 beaches to choose from on Lac St Pardoux one of which has a watersports centre and is about 30mins away. An hour and a half away is the large Lac Vassiviere with 6 sandy beaches and lots of watersports. The island in the middle of the lake is home to an ambitious Contemporary Art Museum designed by the late Aldo Rossi. Guided tours are available around the lake and the island July - August. Just over an hour away is Lac d'Eguzon with sandy beaches, bars, restaurants and watersports.

Golf
Mortermart - new 9 hole golf course is 10km away.
St Junien - 18-hole course meandering through some rolling hills with some water hazards, very good greens and tough slopes is about 20km.
Limoges, Golf Municipal de Saint Lazare, an 18-hole parkland course without any water hazards but with tough rough and some long holes and Golf de la Porcelaine, an 18-hole very undulating course with very picturesque views. Wooded with water hazards, well looked after are both just over 30 mins away.

Travel
Limoges airport is 1/2 hour away. Ryanair fly regular from Liverpool, East Midlands (Nottingham) and Stansted, Flybe fly from Newcastle and Southampton. Car hire at the airport is available from Avis, Hertz, Europcar and National/Citier.
A car is essential as the property is located in the countryside.

Distances
Cieux is the nearest village and boasts a fine restaurant at the hotel, bar/restaurant, bakers, and a few shops. At St Junien and Bellac you will find large supermarkets, numerous restaurants and delightful shopping areas.

Further details
A mobile shop visits the hamlet everyday (including Sundays and bank holidays) and sells everything from eggs to bread.

A welcome pack (paid on arrival) can be provided on request ie. wine, milk, bread, butter etc.

Booking notes
On confirmation we will send you a booking form with full terms and conditions. A deposit of 30% is required with the return of the booking form. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to commencement of your holiday. Full payment will be required if confirmation is made less than 8 weeks.
