Bagnols en Foret is a typical Provencal hilltop village situated at equal distances between the hinterland town of Fayence and the coast at Frejus-St Raphael. The village is perched in the hills with breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside, most of which is oak forests, broom and wild thyme fields. The long sandy beaches of Frejus and its water sports are just 18 km away. The breathtaking Lac St.Cassien is only 15 minutes away. Cannes 30 mins, Nice and St Tropez 50 mins. You could pop to Italy for lunch or go to the Southern Alps for the day. There is plenty to keep you busy (that is only if you can tear yourself away from the tranquility of the Bergerie!) Walking in the hills, sailing, fishing, wineries, gastronomy, paragliding, cycling, golf, shopping, the Glamour of the Riviera... Something for everyone. Bedroom 2 has twin beds.
Bathrooms: Bathroom 1 is next to bedrooms 1 and 2. It has a bath, enclosed shower, w/c, sink and large storage cupboard.
Bathroom 2 is next to bedrooms 3 and 4. It has a bath/shower over, bidet, sink and large storage cupboard. A seperate w/c is next door.
Kitchen: Large kitchen/dining room with 2 french doors openon to the dining terrace. Terracotta floor, solid cherrywood dining table and chairs. All mod cons: oven, hob, washing machine, dishwasher, mircowave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, coffee machine...
Living Rooms: Sitting room seats 8 on 2 sofas and 2 chairs. Open fireplace. Old beams. UK TV, French TV, DVD, Stereo. Toys and DVD selection available.
Other: Downstairs w/c off Entrance Hall. Office area.

Cleaning is weekly and is included in rental price. Bed and bath linen is changed weekly and is also included.

Notes on accommodation
The house is ideal for families with ample space for children to run around within the grounds. All mod cons have been fitted to make your stay more comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and has plenty of crockery. A desk is located next to the telephone and broadband for those who need to work whilst away. Wifi is also available. The bedrooms are all located upstairs on the 1st floor. There is a pool house with a summer kitchen, fridge, shower and WC. Ample sun loungers, chairs, tables and parasols are located by the pool for your comfort. The pool measures 10 by 5 metres and has Roman steps for easy access. The pool is also fitted with a safety alarm.

Accessibility
The elderly or infirm must be aware that there are a few steps within the house.

Outside
The private pool is 10 x 5 metres. It has roman steps for easy access and has a salt system which is easier on eyes, skin and hair. The pool house has a w/c, shower, store room, summer kitchen with BBQ and fridge. Sun loungers and parasols are supplied. The garden has lots of different areas to discover. It is stocked with lots of trees and local shrubs. There are patios to the front of the property with a large dining table which seats up to 10 just outside the kitchen/dining room. The grounds are fully fenced off and access to the property is via an automatic gate.

The closest beeches are in St Raphael and Frejus which are about 18km away.
Frejus Beach, St.Aygulf, Les Issambres, Agay...

Golf
There is a large choice of top quality golf courses nearby. The Domaine de Terre Blanche (Four Seasons Hotel Resort) which is only a 15 minute drive from the house. Both the Golf de Saint Endreol in La Motte and the Golf de Valescure in St.Raphael are within a 20 minute drive.

Travel
Nice is the nearest airport (60km) and it takes just under an hour to drive from the airport to the house. Car hire is essential. Toulon and Marseille airports are under 2 hours away.
The A8 motorway, junction 38, is just 13km away.
St.Raphael train station is 19km.
Calais is 12 hours drive.

Distances
The property is located just 2 km outside of the village. The closest towns are Fayence to the north (about 12 minutes) and St Raphael/Frejus to the south (about 20 minutes).

For a small village, Bagnols has a good selection of shops: 2 Bakeries, Convenience store, Chemist, Deli, Florist, Newsagent, Post Office, Hairdresser, cash machine, Estate Agents… The nearest supermarkets are located just outside the town of Fayence which is about 15 km from Bagnols-en-Foret. Otherwise you can find all the big supermarkets (Geant, Carrefour) and shops in Frejus-St.Raphael (about 18 km). There is a twice weekly market in Bagnols-en-Foret and all the surrounding towns have markets at least once a week. There is a doctor in the village. There are a few restaurants and a pizza delivery company. Booking notes
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the booking. The balance is paid 10 weeks before arrival. A minimum rental period of two weeks is required in the high season, unless for any reason there are odd weeks available. If you require one week only, please ask. Payments will be made in euros.
A holding deposit of 800 euros is required to cover any breakages, loss of keys of damage.

I love France! Particularly the South. I was fortunate enough to have spent my teenage years in the "Gard" area and really enjoyed growing up there. I now live in London with my family and escape to France as often as possible.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The Var area is the perfect area to escape to. It is a stunning wooded area with hilltop villages, coastal resorts, amazing wine (the rose is very easy to drink!), great food, tranquility and excitement. It ticks all the boxes for Family holidays and suits all ages.

My house is firstly a home. The quiet location enables a relaxing holiday but with easy access to beaches, towns, restaurants, sports activities, Golf, Spas, shopping and a long list of things to do and places to visit.
