Bagnols en Foret is a typical Provencal hilltop village situated at equal distances between the hinterland town of Fayence and the coast at Frejus-St Raphael. The village is perched in the hills with breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside, most of which is oak forests, broom and wild thyme fields. The long sandy beaches of Frejus and its water sports are just 18 km away. The breathtaking Lac St.Cassien is only 15 minutes away. Cannes 30 mins, Nice and St Tropez 50 mins. You could pop to Italy for lunch or go to the Southern Alps for the day. There is plenty to keep you busy (that is only if you can tear yourself away from the tranquility of the Bergerie!) Changeover day
Changeover day is on Saturdays. Check-in is between 5pm and 8pm. Check-out is at 9am.

Notes on accommodation
The house is ideal for families with ample space for children to run around within the grounds. Parents of toddlers and crawlers must be aware that there are a few steps within the house (to go into the kitchen and dining room and upstairs on the first floor there are more steps for example). All mod cons have been fitted to make your stay more comfortable. There is a pool house with a summer kitchen, shower and WC. Ample sun loungers, chairs, tables and parasols are located by the pool for your comfort. The pool is 10 by 5 metres and is fitted with a safety alarm.
Accessibility
The elderly or infirm must be aware that there are a few steps within the house (to go into the kitchen and dining room and upstairs on the first floor there are more steps for example).
Outside
The private pool is 10 x 5 metres. It has roman steps for easy access and has a salt system which is easier on eyes, skin and hair. The pool house has a w/c, shower, store room, summer kitchen with BBQ and fridge. Sun loungers and parasols are supplied. The garden has lots of different areas to discover. It is stocked with lots of trees and local shrubs. There are patios to the front of the property with a large dining table which seats up to 10 just outside the kitchen/dining room. The grounds are fully fenced off and access to the property is via an automatic gate.
Coast/Beach
The closest beeches are in St Raphael and Frejus which are about 18km away.
Golf
There is a large choice of top quality golf courses nearby with the closest being the Four Seasons Hotel at Domaine de Terre Blanche. It is only a 15 minute drive from the house.
Travel
Nice is the nearest airport and it takes just under an hour to drive from the airport to the house. Car hire is essential.
Distances
The property is located just 2 km outside of the village. The closest towns are Fayence to the north (about 15 minutes) and St Raphael/Frejus to the south (about 20 minutes).

The village has a good selection of shops: 2 Bakeries, Convenience store, Butcher, Chemist, Deli, Florist, Newsagent, Post Office, Hairdresser… The nearest supermarket is located just outside the town of Fayence which is about 15 km from Bagnols-en-Foret. It is a good supermarket with great fish, meat and cheese counters. Otherwise you can find all the big supermarkets (Geant, Carrefour…) and shops in Frejus-St.Raphael (about 18 km). There is a twice weekly market in Bagnols-en-Foret and all the surrounding towns have markets at least once a week.

Booking notes
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the booking. The balance is paid 10 weeks before arrival. A minimum rental period of two weeks is required in the high season, unless for any reason there are odd weeks available. If you require one week only, please ask. Payments will be made in euros.
A holding deposit of 800 euros is required to cover any breakages, loss of keys of damage.

'I can hardly believe that our stay at La Bergerie is over. We LOVED the house! You have outfitted it with every imaginable thing that we could have needed. It was perfectly furnished and the extra toys were super. Thank you! Our 5 year old kept referring to 'Amy's house & toys'... 'The house managers were excellent - we kept them waiting when we arrived as it took 2 hours to pick up the car from Europcar for some reason, and they were happy to turn up at 7am when we left. The house was a perfect layout for us with 2 families staying - we were able to have separate areas upstairs so we never felt on top of each other or having fights for the bathroom. The pool was excellent - having a shower/toilet, fridge by the pool was great and saved having to go back to the house frequently'
