This delightful chaumiere was originally where the apples were squashed in an enormous circular horse drawn press to produce the precious juices for the fabrication of cider and Calvados. Today, it has been transformed into a comfortable cottage. There is a main dining and kitchen area through which at one end is a twin bedroom and bathroom with wc, basin and bath. The other side leads to a relaxing salon with a door opening out onto the enclosed garden with one single bed. Another bathroom with shower, basin and wc and a bedroom with a large double bed lead off the salon. The enclosed garden itself looks out onto a magnificent display of many rare species of plants and flowers through which a stream runs down to the sea. Close to La Forge is a quiet lane which leads down to the beach (about a 10 min walk). Ideal for cricket, kite flying and football.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros,all inclusive of sheets,towels,all household necessities, 4 bicycles, charcoal for the BBQ etc.You really only need to arrive with toothbrush and toothpaste as well as beach towels!
Changeover day
Arrival from 4pm on the Saturday. Departure by 10am on the Saturday.

| Living Rooms: | You enter La Forge from the enclosed garden into a dining, sitting, kitchen area. There is a large dining table, a pine dresser, and sofa where you may relax to watch television or DVDs. |
| Other: | Le petit Salon has a spare single bed and is ideal for quiet relaxation with its Lloyd Loom armchair and sofa and a door opening out onto the garden. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The beds are made up with duvets and Egyptian cotton sheets, soft fluffy towels are also provided. A complete change of linen once a week is included for guests who stay more than a week. |
Notes on accommodation
La forge is ideal for a family with small children as they are unable to escape! 4 bicycles are available as well as all household necessities including charcoal for the BBQ, you really only need to bring toothbrush and toothpaste!

Accessibility
La Forge is all on the ground floor and perfectly accessible for people with mobility problems. It is not especially adapted for wheelchairs but wheelchair access is certainly possible.
Outside
La Forge has a secure enclosed garden surrounded by a hedge. There is a wooden dining table with benches and double deckchairs and parasol for relaxation under the walnut tree.
Coast/Beach
A vast deserted beach is only a 10 min walk away, whereas the wonderful sandy beaches of Trouville and Deauville are only 10 mins away to the west.

Channel Tunnel 2 and 1/2 hours by car.

A car is recommended although we do provide 4 bicycles!
Distances
The delightful town of Honfleur with its long history and stunning architecture is hardly 10 mins away to the east. Here you will find bustling restaurants, art galleries, churches, and museums. Honfleur is particularly famous for its part in the history of Impressionism, where the artists at the end of the 19th century were so attracted by the extraordinary light which exists in the Seine Estuary. Deauville and Trouville with their renowned boardwalks, casinos, luxury shops are to the west.
Further details
The local supermarket is 5 mins away in Equemauville and the nearest banks are in Honfleur. A tree climbing adventure park is 15 mins away in St. Gatien and the many day trips possible include: Monets Garden at Giverny, Le Mont St. Michel, The beautiful towns of Rouen and Caen, Paris is 2 hours by car, The National Stud at Le Haras du Pin, the famous cliffs at Etretat, the beautiful Pays d'auge with its apple trees and beautiful countryside may be discovered on foot, by bicycle or by car.
The famous Normandy Invasion beaches make a memorable day out, including the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches and its interesting museums, including a 360° cinema showing an impressive film.
Booking notes
At the time of booking a 300 euros per week bank transfer is necessary, followed by the remaining amount one month before arrival.
