Changeover day
Changeover day is a Saturday or Sunday depending on availability in high season. Out of season it is usually possible to be more flexible in arrival/departure dates.

Notes on accommodation
The house has central heating and a open fire. Because of the narrow staircase to the first and second floors and raised terrace area, the house is probably unsuitable for small children. The stairs are not fitted with a stair gate.
Accessibility
The property is accessed by short set of stairs and the internal stairs are similar to a spiral staircase so unfortunately are unsuitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
Large decking terrace with table and chairs and barbecue. Secluded garden with lawn and trees to the front and rear of the property. Range of games eg balls, badminton set,pétanque-boules etc for use of guests.
The harbour is literally a few yards from the house.
Coast/Beach
The house is literally a few yards from the port of Dahouet. The closest beach is a three minute drive, which is Val Andre, and there are several stunning beaches within five to ten minutes drive of the house. The beaches along this part of the coast range from vast expanses of golden sand, to small coves ideal for rock pooling. A pretty beach can be reached by walking along the coastal path past the Monument on the right hand side of the port, about 10 mins away, perfect base for walking.
Golf
Excellent golf course approximately 1km away at Pleneuf Val Andre. Highly rated golf course with dramatic holes along the cliffs. Also a number of other golf courses within a short drive. The stunning golf course in Pléneuf has been named as one of the most beautiful in France, this course has been featured in the Sunday Telegraph. Also close by are the golf courses of St. Cast, Dinard, and St. Malo.
Special interest holidays
Great range of adventure activities within a 20 minute drive: horse riding, go-carting, quad bikes, paint ball, high ropes assault course, para gliding etc.all activities to do with the sea and beach.
Travel
A car is highly recommended to travel from either Dinard airport which is about 45 minutes away or the Port of St Malo which is about an hour away.
Rennes airport is approximately 1 hour away.
The shops and restaurants of Pléneuf Val-André are about 5 minutes away by car.

Further details
The charming small top town of Pléneuf Val-André is a 15 minute walk away. Here you will find a number of good restaurants, simple cafes, boutiques, a casino, supermarket and much more besides. During the summer there are often open air concerts or events for example a free jazz concert in the park every Tuesday evening. The stunning mile long beach is beautiful whatever the weather or season. There is a free local bus into town in high season.
The historic market town of Lamballe is a 20 minute drive away. Dinan, with its medieval buildings, viaduct and beautiful river is about 45 minutes away.
Sailing is understandably a very popular past time here and in Val-André there is a renowned sailing school from where it is possible to hire sea kayaks, wind surf boards etc. In Dahouët there are sailing classes for youngsters and boating on the lake, this is approx 400 yds from the house.
Booking notes
20% deposit at time of booking. Balance six weeks before departure. Refundable damage deposit of £100 payable at time of balance. Repaid on return of keys subject to no breakages/ damage.

About the owner
My husband and I are a retired couple. We bought the house in Dahouët three years ago for family holidays, it is now rented out for weeks we do not require. It is therefore, a fully equipped family home in a beautiful area.
Year purchased: 2007
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We fell in love with the area, when visiting Christmas 2006. Access is easy from St.Malo just an hour away and Dinard airport 40 minutes. All amenites within 5 minute drive.
