Holiday Cottage in La Souterraine, Haute Vienne, Limousin
Rural Cottage
Peaceful Village for Complete Relaxation
Sleeps 4/6 (2 Bedrooms)

Ideal for that ‘Get Away from It All’ break. It has taken three years, and many euros to renovate this lovely old cottage in the middle of this tiny French village. Relax ‘away from it all’ in the cottage and enjoy a leisurely walk or cycle ride around the lovely countryside. La Paternelle is situated in St Hilare La Treille, about 45 minutes north of Limoges. The village is small and friendly and is in an area that had a large involvement in the French Resistance during World War II. English is not widely spoken so it’s a fab area for practicing your Français. The cottage has been sympathetically restored and offers comfortable accommodation whilst retaining many historic and rustic features, we particularly hope you like the bathroom door! The fitted kitchen was originally a very old store room with a dirt floor! Above the store we discovered a hay loft which has been transformed into a fantastic mezzanine on which to eat your meals.
