Belle Azure is a newly renovated 2 bedroom stone cottage located in the middle of the rustic village of La Jonchere on the south coast of the Vendee. This beautiful and spacious gite is just 10 minutes by car from sandy beaches and ideal for those wishing for plenty of amenities and family fun! Set adjacent to the beautiful chiming church in La Jonchere this property has the benefit of modern facilities within a traditional French village. Only approximately, 1 hour from La Rochelle, Nantes and a 3 1/2 hours drive from St Malo, Belle Azure makes for the perfect getaway for those wanting a quick, easy trip to sandy beaches and sunshine. The famous Vendée coast - referred to locally as the Côte-de-Lumière (Coast of Light) has fantastic child friendly sandy beaches, stretching along 13km of which 8km face directly south. The beach at La-Tranche-sur-Mer is approved as a ‘Kids' Station’, which means it is a safe environment for children

Changeover day
Changeover days are Saturday's however, flexible out of peak season.

| Bedrooms: | The master bedroom has a double bed with a large built-in wardrobe and double patio doors leading out to the garden area. Bedroom 2 with two adults’ size single beds which can easily be made into a large double bed for when 2 share. |

| Kitchen: | The newly appointed kitchen has all the amenities one wishes for when on holiday, a dishwasher, large stainless steel fridge freezer, microwave, Ariston cooker, extendable round dining table for up to 6 guests, plus a washing machine and coffee maker. |
| Living Rooms: | The spacious sitting room has a leather convertible sofa bed, an additional 2 seater sofa, a 33' flat screen high definition TV, DVD player and 'game cube' with approx. 30 games and French cable for those wishing to practice their linguistic skills! |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen and hand towels are supplied, however, you will need to bring bath and beach towels. An end of stay clean of 30 euros is compulsory and must be paid to the owner upon arrival. |

Outside
The fully enclosed garden has a lawn area as well as a decked area surround the rear of the property. There is good quality garden furniture with parasol as well as a BBQ.
Coast/Beach
Belle Azure is less than 10 mins from the famous Vendée coast - referred to locally as the Côte-de-Lumière (Coast of Light). The fantastic sandy beaches stretch along 13km and 8km of them face south. The main beach at La-Tranche-sur-Mer (10 mins away) is ideal for families with children. It is approved as a ‘Kids' Station’, which means that the resort is a safe environment for children to play in. It also has specialist equipment and entertainments which specifically cater for families.
Golf
With France rapidly becoming one of Europe's most popular golfing holiday destination and offering over 25 of europe's top 100 courses, it’s no wonder golfers are now choosing France over the traditional Spanish resorts for exceptionally high standard, competitive and well managed courses.
Travel
Belle Azure is only 3 1/2 hours from St-Malo and one hour from the airports of Nantes and La Rochelle.

Indian Forest Adventure has marked trails in a forest, as well as 122 different challenges. Suspended on safety harnesses, you are able to climb, swing, dismount and even slide across the forest at a height of 20ft above the ground. There is also an adventure area for toddlers, with themed bouncy castles, a ball park, rock climbing and an inflatable park. This is an excellent day out for both children and adults and is just 5 minutes from our gîtes.
Puy du Fou is where time stands still - and will be an instant hit with children and adults alike. You'll see villages from different eras, gladiators still doing battle and Vikings launching attacks on fortified castles! In the summer, there are 28 evening/night shows with 300 fireworks per show, 2000 digitally-controlled projectors, 1500 computerised fountains, 4500 costumes and many more special effects. There are minstrels in the heart of the woods and master falconers in the meadows.
The gîtes are just an hour's drive from the delightful shops and quayside restaurants of La Rochelle. From the port, you can take to the water and visit Ile d'Aix - and even the famous Fort-Boyard.
The Parc des Floralies (under 10 minutes away) is open all summer and entry is free. The park has a forest of oak and pine trees which cover seven hectares. During the spring, blooming tulips, narcissi, hyacinths, crocuses and amaryllis all produce the most wonderful scents!
La Rochelle's wonderful Aquarium boasts 10,000 specimens from the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the tropics (visit website 1 below for further information). With three million litres of water and 64 different aquariums.
Booking notes
25% of the booking fee is due at the time of booking, with the remaining due 8 weeks prior to arrival. For those booking within 8 weeks of their arrival the full payment becomes due. We require a £100 security deposit per week, taken at the time of booking.
In July and August electric and water is included within the price. However out of Peak Season (all other dates) a supplement of 30 euros per week becomes payable.
