Our Gite 'Le Carabi' is situated in the courtyard of our B&B/Chambres D'Hotes, La Jolie Maison, in the charming rural village of Le Langon, Vendee, Pay De La Loire. It was once the stables of the village doctor's horse, 'Carabi' and we have very tastefully converted it into spacious and bright holiday accommodation. It sleeps 4 very comfortably, but can fit another one in on the sofa bed if needed. We are very much wheelchair friendly, with wheel-in wet room. Le Carabi is situated in a pleasant village with most amenities, bakers, little shop, cafe/bar and chemist. We are only 35 minutes from La Rochelle and 45 minutes from the beautiful Vendeen beaches.

Changeover day
B&B is anytime. Gite is a Saturday, although during the quieter months, this can be flexible. B&B arrival time after 2 pm departure time before 11am. Gite arrival time after 4pm departure time before 10am.

We have 4 tastefully decorated rooms at La Jolie Maison - Mediterranean room (double), French room (double), Indian room (double) and our African room (twin). All our rooms feature luxurious en-suite shower rooms, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary bottle of water, information pack (ref. local area/shops/restaurants etc.) and hairdryers. We also offer wi-fi access in our guests 'Salon'. |

Notes on accommodation
All rooms have central heating, portable fans. In the B&B we also offer a 'family suite' for two adults and up to 3 children under 13. Children are very welcome.
Evening meals are supplied on request, catering for all sorts of diets/Allergies, at very competitive rates. Breakfasts are included in the B&B price, English or Continental.
Linen and towels are included in both Le Carabi Gite and La Jolie Maison B&B but NOT beach/pool towels.
Accessibility
Our Gite, le Carabi, is designed with the disabled in mind. We have created a wheel-in wet room, with easy-access sink and loo. There is a shower chair, with arms. All door widths are regulation width, and light switches are easy access height.
Ramps and easy wheel pathways to the property and our B&B, also to the garden. Access to La Jolie Maison B&B dining room also. Parking just outside the Gite, in private courtyard.
Outside
Le Carabi has a separate private garden, with terrace, BBQ, lights, furniture. Also access to the main pool (8mts x 6mts) and loungers.
La Jolie Maison B&B has a garden with swimming pool, sun -loungers, chairs and tables.
We also have 3 chickens wandering around, M, Q and Moneypenny, very friendly!! Parking for both the B&B and Gite is secure and private in our courtyard. We also offer bike hire.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful Vendeen beaches await you, only 45 minutes drive away. Very child friendly, with sand and sea (we can supply a few beach buckets and spades!). Surfing, windsurfing, diving, jet skis are all available along the coast here.
Golf
Many golf courses in the Vendee, nearest is just before La Rochelle, about 30 minutes away.

Car/car hire is definitely recommended.

St Malo Port 3 hours.

Further details
The village has most things you will need. There is a very friendly bar/cafe that does snacks, pizzas etc. A small grocers shop, open on Sunday mornings, A chemist, a bakers and even a post office. On site we have bike hire, very reasonably priced. A full size table tennis table, and badminton.
Booking notes
La Jolie Maison B&B just requires a 10% deposit, then balance to paid in cash, Euros, on departure.
Le Carabi gite requires a 20% deposit (sterling cheque) then final payment 8 weeks prior to arrival date (sterling cheque) plus a damage deposit which is refundable.
