The nearby picturesque town of Isle sur la Sorgue has many antique and art shops as well as a well know Sunday market. Close by the historic towns of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse (within 5 minutes drive), Gordes (15 mins) and Musee de Lavendre (10 mins) are among the most visited tourist attractions in France. The stunning Luberon Mountains are within easy reach and contain many villages with tourist attractions. Local entertainment includes a top rated golf course, horse riding, canoeing, cycling and vineyards.

Notes on accommodation
All rooms have electric heaters and fans. The pool is open from June until August. There is a charge of euro70 for cleaning and laundry on your departure plus tax de sejour (local tourist tax) of 1 euro per person per night.
Accessibility
All rooms are on the same level so no necessity to climb stairs.
Outside
The garden is secluded and quiet with many cypress, fig, olive and almond trees. The patio which offers stunning views of the village and surrounding hills benefits from the sun throughout the day. Provided are an outdoor table, chairs, sunbeds and BBQ equipment. The garage is situated under the house and contains a games room with a full size table tennis table as well as bicycles. The swimming pool is situated at the far end of the garden and is 10m x 5m.
Coast/Beach
The Mediterranean coast is approximately one hour drive from the villa. There are beautiful beaches and seaside resorts with marinas along the coastline east of Marseille. The Camargue national park containing wild animals is a drive of one and a half hours.
Golf
Villa is within 10 minutes drive of a top rated 18-holes championship golf course at Provence Country Club. The superb club house includes changing rooms, pro-shop, restaurant and bar. There are a number of other high quality golf courses with outstanding scenery all within a drive of one hour from the villa.
Travel
The Villa is 25 kms to Avignon TGV station, 20 kms to Avignon airport and 50 kms to Marseille and Nimes airports. By road access is from A7 at Avignon from which there is a 20 minute drive.

Many thanks - our holiday in Les Amandiers was wonderful. The sun shone every day - and Lagnes was its charming self. The auberge has gone quite upmarket since we were last there, and was excellent - and shopping in the epicerie was a delight. My husband loved biking in the hills most mornings, and I enjoyed running off the previous nights excesses by jogging to the aquaduct and back.
I can't say I am loving being home as we have not seen the sun.
The house is lovely to stay in and incredibly well equipped.
