Built 1776, historical Manor House amidst 52 acres in the Lot et Garonne. Provides a tranquil environment with 360 degree views of the valley and farms. A rambling estate with ruins and historical outbuildings makes it a very typically "French" environment. Relaxation by the swimming pool, cycling down the lanes, table tennis in the shaded garden, cooked breakfast menus, pool snacks, relaxation. We can also help assist in the requirements to bring your beloved pets. We have wifi Internet throughout, chess and dartboard, DVDs and Sky television in the main lounge for die-hard TV addicts. Outside, we have a terrace and patio area for drinks and BBQs and plenty of secure parking. Just 1 hour north of Toulouse airport (Easyjet & BA), or 1 hour south of Bergerac (Ryanair), we are only 15 mins from Agen with shops, bars, restaurants, markets and museums. Evening baby sitting can be arranged.

Bedroom 1 "Opaline Room". Enormous double bedroom with original shuttered windows. 6ft bed with french white linen. Bath and Private w.c. Large dressing mirror, dressing table, large wardrobe. Beams and wood floor create a cooling atmosphere in summer months. Double aspect room overlooks valley and shaded garden. Extra portable double sofabed or single bed can easily be accommodated in this room for family of 4 sharing. Internet wifi in this room. Bedroom 2 "Francoise Room". With 5ft bed in white wood & matching armoir wardrobe and chest of drawers. Period designed room using Laura Ashley fabrics. An extra single bed can also be accommodated for family of 3 sharing. Ensuite Bathroom with bath and shower attachment, basin and wc. Original windows and shutters open out to gorgeous valley view. Internet wifi in this room. Both room have full use of swimming pool, child bicycles (adult bikes at supplement), table tennis etc. |

Notes on accommodation
Open fire in the lounge, wood burner in the kitchen, underfloor heating in hall, kitchen & lounge ensure its never cold in winter. High celings and windows, stone walls, wood floors in bedrooms and dining room and exposed beams means its cool in the summer. Portable air-conditioning unit can be rented for supplement.
Accessibility
Wheelchair users welcome and the flooring on the ground floor is all on one level, however the WCs are small spaces and won't fit a wheelchair. Main bedroom 1 is suitable insofar as the flooring is all on one level on the ground floor. There may be mobility problems in the wc. The cottage is on 1 level, but again the wc area is too small to accommodate a wheelchair. Please call for further detailed explanation before booking.
Outside
Swimming pool, 9m x 4m, steps into pool. Sun loungers with large comfy cushions and parasols. Terrace area with barbecue facilities, outdoor table and chairs. Gazebo for shade and long afternoon lunches in the great outdoors. Shaded garden with table tennis and hammock. Afternoon tea/drinks at the shaded garden table with 6 chairs. Swinging chair for lazy afternoon naps in the grounds.
Coast/Beach
2 hours to the Med, resort of Narbonne.
Golf
Within 30 minutes drive is the year round Espalais Golf Club. A 9 hole golf course 5.470m Par 70, plus compact course (2 holes). Or Villeneuve Golf Club, 20 mins.
Special interest holidays
Birdwatchers - we have many birds, notable pair of Hoopoe, Red-breast robins, blue tits, common cranes in migration, woodpeckers and many other varieties.
Travel
Equidistant to Toulouse (BA, Easyjet) or Bergerac (Ryanair). Please ask about our airport transfers, however for those wishing to explore the countryside and not the pool, you may wish to consider renting a car.

Lacardayre, 5 mins drive.
Agen, 15 minutes drive.
Toulouse or Bergerac under 1 hour.
Horse riding equestrian centre, 10 mins.

Situated near the Lot et Garonne River there are also many opportunities to rent a river boat or simply dine by the water side.
Booking notes
Please call direct for bookings. A 20% deposit is payable upon booking (credit cards accepted). Balance of rental charge payable 5 weeks prior to arrival. Please note there is an additional £250 security deposit required for renting the Stone Cottage.
