La Ferme de la Dranse is a newly renovated traditional French farmhouse set in the charming Alpine village of St Jean d'Aulps at the heart of the Portes du Soleil skiing and summer resort. Furnished to a high standard, all 5 bedrooms are en-suite with quality new beds and bedding. The well appointed living areas have Wifi, stereo, Sky, large screen TV, DVD library, children's toys and games. The large furnished terrace includes BBQ and private hot tub. The surrounding area has much to offer, signposted walking paths are at your door. Only 5 mins on foot to the village centre for shops, restaurants and bars, or 1 hour hike to stunning Lake Montriond and the surrounding Alpine peaks. Play golf at one of the two outstanding local courses or the Royal Evian Links only 25 mins away. For the more adventurous horse riding, mountain biking, canyoning or ride Fantasticable if you dare. By car Morzine is 10 mins, Les Gets 15 mins, Evian and Lake Geneva are 20/25 minutes.

Changeover day
The rental is Saturday to Saturday (flexible out of season). La Ferme has to be vacated by 10am, and can be accessed after 4pm on the day of your arrival. If there are problems, or if you wish to keep/drop off luggage, this can be arranged beforehand.

Coast/Beach
There are 3 swimming lakes within 20 mins of St Jean d'Aulps. Lake Leman (aka Lake Geneva) is the largest with beautiful beaches and picnic areas. Watersports are also available there. The area is getting more and more popular for downhill mountain biking and also road biking with the influence of the Tour de France that often passes through.
Golf
Les Gets: (golflesgets.com). 18-hole, 5264 m course, par 70, no handicap required to play. mountain course with buggies available.
Avoriaz: (golf-morzine-avoriaz.com). Situated at the mouth of the Avoriaz resort, on the edge of a pine forest. 9-hole, par 36 course (2930 metres).
Royal Evian: (royalparcevian.com). Évian Masters Golf Club…a legendary course at the foot of the Alps. 18 holes - Par 72 - 6 054 m. A varied landscape, well-defended greens, narrow fairways, water hazards, bushy roughs for varied strokes and velvety greens all year round.
Annecy (golf-lacannecy.com) offers 2 courses, Le Belvedere: 18 holes; 5811m. Les Castors: 9 holes 2214m
Chamonix: (golfdechamonix.com). 18 hole course, 6076m, par 72. In a setting between the Mont-Blanc range and the massif of the aiguilles rouges. Designed by the world famous Robert Trent Jones Senior.
Skiing
In the winter season la Ferme is run as a catered chalet by allez-alps.com. Please get in touch with them direct.
Special interest holidays
La Ferme is run as self-catered accommodation but if guests would like to be catered for this can be arranged by prior arrangement (48 hours min.) with a local professional chef.
Travel
Geneva Airport is only 70 minutes away, or a 9 hour motorway drive from the Ferry Ports making travelling to/from St Jean d'Aulps very accessible. We recommend that guests either fly and hire a car or drive over giving them independence to pursue their chosen activity during their stay.
Distances
Morzine is only 5km away and hosts many sport and leisure activities including open air swimming pools with toddler pools, fun parks with slides, volleyball courts, table tennis tables, ice rink and gym. Morzine also has many bike hire shops.

La Ferme is located in the village of St Jean d'Aulps which has many amenities including a great pizza bar, restaurants, bars, tourist office, post office, supermarkets, butchers, bakeries, gift shops.
Booking notes
Please contact email address for enquiries and to book. We will require a 50% deposit on booking la Ferme, with the remainder payable 1 month prior to travel. We will need to know your name, address, flight details, number of people. A refundable deposit cheque for £500 is payable with the balance of the reservation, and will be returned within one week of your departure (unless damage has unfortunately been caused).
