Bed and Breakfast in charming townhouse in centre of Biarritz. A beautiful house dating from 1900. Two big bedrooms each with private shower.- 5 minutes walk from the casino, La Grande Plage (the main beach), Miramar beach, l'Hotel du Palais and all amenities; shops, restaurants, market and art galleries.near all bus station to go to Saint Jean de Luz, Spain, Bayonne and all the beaches around, surf school, in every beaches, golf quite near ( by car).

B&B (Sleeps 4, 2 Bedrooms)

Two very spacious, 'loft' style rooms decorated with furniture and objects collected on the owner's travels around the world. The rooms are extremely comfortable. Shower and a personal tea maker with a choice of teas. There is a double bed and a single divan/day bed, suitable for a third guest or child in each room.,25€ in supplement by night. Both rooms have a shower and a basin.

Notes on accommodation
If you wish, you may have breakfast in one of the many cafés in Biarritz, which are a few minutes walk from the house. Otherwise, you can enjoy a continental breakfast served in the veranda, or on the flower-filled patio.
Tapas and wine can also be provided, as per the guest(s) request, for a fee.

Coast/Beach
Magnificent beaches are located less than 5 minutes to 10 minutes walk from the house, such as the famous Grand Plage, Miramar, and Port Vieux. Bus services to all the other beaches along the coast, including Saint Jean de Luz, are about 5 minute walk.

Golf
From the B&B, the Biarritz golf course is located within 3km; the famous picturesque Ilbarritz Training Center is located within 4km; Chiberta golf course is located within 6km; Arcangues golf course is located within 9km; and Saint Jean de Luz golf course is located within 20km. I can propose you car driver for excursion in the Basque Country interior.

I will be delighted to provide you with addresses of all the best places to eat, visit, etc - places that are not necessarily in the guide books! I have lived in the Basque country nearly all my life and I will be happy to share my knowledge with my guests. Biarritz is beautiful all year round, and it offers much more than just a beach culture. Autumn is a wonderful time to visit, temperatures are often 25°C and the mild weather often continues until Christmas. There are film festivals in September and January. The beauty of the Basque region is unforgettable. It's picturesque sights can be enjoyed by hiking, biking or walking. The foothills of the Pyrenees and the beautiful white villages make a stunning background.
There are several spas in Biarritz, which offer a range of treatments including bathing in salt water swimming pools, all year round. If you wish you can have Ayurvedic massages in your room, by a qualified masseuse.

Please note: in the month of August, the whole house could be available for rental during this period, with 3 months in advance. Please contact me for additional details.

Owner profile

About the owner
As an artist and interior decorator, I always considered the Basque Country (where I was raised), one of the most exquisite places in the world. Now retired, I dedicate my time to writing, travelling with friends, and experimenting with various art forms, presently poetry and Japanese pottery. After 20 years living in Madrid, I came back to Biarritz 22 years ago. I love welcoming people into my home; I would like my guests to think of it as the home of a friend.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
Between the ocean, the Pyrenees mountains and the pleasant climate all year around, it was clear to me there was no other place to live. Then I found the perfect house, in the centre of the town. Although it was abandoned, the immense potential inspired me; renovating it was a labour of love. If you go early to the beach you will have it all to yourself, it's a magical experience alone with the waves and the birds. Biarritz has two faces, the holiday resort and its hidden side, full of charm that I would like to help you discover.Being in the center of Biarritz you can enjoy easily the market where you can have drinks withs tapas coffee and nice lunch bistro! Surf school every where on the beach i can propose you also car company no(expensive)! to go in the Basque country villages-

My home reflects various memories of my exotic trips around the world, and the encounters of extraordinary people who spent time with me. Musics, books, objects, paintings that I have collected all along my life, give it an outstanding quality. My love for Spain and Italy, influenced me to create an interior refine comfortable, original! The garden, where I love to spend time with my friends and my two cats. Meeting people is one of my great pleasures. I like my guests feel at home! Every one feel very confortable. The situation of my house is really v ery cool! All can be done walking!
