An independent south facing romantic wing, furnished with antiques and works of art. Set in a valley of thirty acres of ancient olive groves and woodland. Ste Helene is an 18th century stone Provencal Bastide situated above the medieval village of Claviers, five minutes drive from its centre. It offers a baker, grocer, newsagent, tobacconist, post office as well as bars and restaurants. Secluded and easily accessible, one hour 10 minutes from Nice airport, Fayence 15mns, Bargemon 5mns, Lac St Cassien 25mns and the coast 30mns drive as well as a beautiful rock pool 10mns away.

Coast/Beach
There are several beaches within easy reach by car within 40 minutes: Mandelieu-La Napoule-Cannes, Golfe de Frejus, La Croisettes, Cannes, St Raphael, Ste Maxime, and St Tropez. Iles de Cannes - there are some small islands off the beach at Cannes which can be reached by public ferry or sailing boat. The water around them is a stunningly clear turquoise and is perfect swimming territory. It is a great spot for days out.
Golf
At a 20 minute drive, the Domaine de Terre Blanche (Four Seasons resort hotel) is a club of outstanding quality with two 18 hole golf courses plus a golf academy with a floodlit practice range and all weather covered positions. At a 30 minute drive, the Golf de l'Esterel (Par 71, 5825 metres) is just over a mile away from the wonderful beaches of Saint-Raphael. This course actually runs into the Mediterranean Sea giving it magnificent views and making it wonderfully relaxing. Skiing
Isola 2000 is about 2 hours drive from Ste Helene and offers skiing at 2000 metres altitude from December to April. Geolieres Les Neiges is 1 1/2 hours drive and offers skiing at 1400-1700 metres altitude from Christmas to March. The resort, though relatively small, is good for learning and can be excellent after a big snowfall. The resort also has snow cannons.
