Le Vieux Manoir offers you the holiday of freedom and choice. You can stay in one of our gξtes and use the accommodation as a base to return to after spending your days exploring this beautiful area of France. You may wish to cook for yourself some evenings or perhaps you would prefer to dine in our restaurant and sample some typical French cuisine or partake in our crepe/fondue evenings. Alternatively you may wish to take advantage of the on site leisure facilities or you may just want to relax in the garden by the lake or heated swimming pool with a good book and a glass of wine or even bubble away in the hot tub for hours on end. Le Vieux Manoir is situated in a pretty little village with a very popular tabac. The village is situated on the edge of the Normandy Maine National Park with its array of wildlife, lakes and walking routes.

A lovely first floor 2 bedroom gite apartment. This gite has elevated views over the open French countryside. The lounge has a number of restored features including sash windows, cornices and a beautiful ceiling rose. There is a lounge/dining area whihc again has lovely views. The lounge has been equipped with a flat screen television, DVD/CD player. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and large sash windows overlooking the open fields and countryside. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and leads off the first bedroom, this again has lovely views. To the back of this bedroom there are 2 small doors which hide behind it a an extra set of bunk beds which are a big hit with the children. There is a fully equipped kitchen and wooden bathroom with an elevated bath tub. |

Rocher is a characteristic mezzanine first floor 2 bedroom gite apartment. This first floor Manoir apartment offers 2 tastefully designed bedrooms, 1 triple and 1 double. The lounge area has a number of unique features. The mezzanine floor which is elevated above the lounge has a number of ceiling lights so that the lounge is given a twinkly feel at night. There is a wooden dining table built around the original supporting beam for the mezzanine and here you can sit and look over the front gardens while you enjoy a glass of wine. For your entertainment there is a flat screen television with sky and a CD/DVD player. The apartment has 2 lovely bedrooms. The first bedroom has two single beds made of solid wood and above these beds is a third bunk bed which lies parallel above the bottom 2. The second bedroom can be found on the mezzanine floor which is reached through the stairs that lead up from the lounge. This bedroom has an oak double bed and has the feeling of being hidden away. |

| This gite apartment has been totally renovated for 2010 and offers perfect accommodation for couples or families with young children. This ground floor Manoir apartment is airy and light with high ceilings and large windows that overlook the beautiful grounds and countryside. The lounge has been equipped with an entertainment area which is recessed into the wall and includes a flat screen television, DVD player and CD player. In the kitchen/dining area we have placed a dining suite in front of the large window so that you can enjoy your meals in the sun while taking in the beautiful view. This apartment has a lovely double bedroom with large windows offering you an idyllic view over the fields and countryside. There is a set of bunk beds hidden away in the corner of the lounge which is ideal for children or can be hidden away if not required. Notes on accommodation
All of the accommodation is suitable for families with small children.
The whole complex can be rented together for large groups and various gites can be rented in combinations to suit different group sizes.
Le Gite is suitable for wheelchair users.
Le Vieux Manoir has an on site restaurant which offers a variety of menus on differnt nights of the week.

Outside
The middle area of the garden has a heated swimming pool with plenty of loungers and tables and chairs. There is a badminton area and plenty of room for garden games. There is also an area which has a awning for shade so you can hide away from the mid day sun if you want to. The lower part of the garden garden has a small fishing lake with plenty of room around it to relax and hide away. The upper part of the garden is our flower garden and is great for relaxing. It has a hot tub (for up to six adults) area with tables and chairs and a hammock to relax. There is also a small pond with fish and plants which is beautiful to relax next to. This part of the garden has plenty of tables and chairs so you can enjoy your meals out in the sunshine.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 1.5 hours away by car. There is however a beautiful lake nearby which has a lovely beach area with many activities including boat rides, land train, pedalos, forest walks, cycle hire. Please see our website for further details of Sille Plage (Coco beach). This beach is very popular with our guests.
Golf
The nearest golf course is 30 minutes away at Bagnoles de L'Orne. This is a 9 hole woodland course with several river tracks and ponds (Please see our website for further details). There is a golf course at Laval (40 minutes away). This is an excellent golf course with good greens and some great holes. It is an undulating course. There are also golf courses at Flers (45 minutes away), Vire (55 minutes away), Belleme (1 hour away) and Clecy (1 hour away).

Le Vieux Manoir is located in a small village with a bar and tabac. The nearest Boulangarie is 1.5km. The nearest town with supermarkets, restaurants and bars is 7km. The nearest large town is Mayenne which is a 20 minute drive away.

If you have a young family then this holiday is ideal for you. We have created the complex to ensure it is a safe and entertaining place for the children as we know that if the children enjoy themselves then so do the parents. The on site restaurant is attached to the Manoir and we supply monitors to the rooms so that the parents can dine in the restaurant/garden or take a drink in the bar while their little cherubs sleep in their monitored rooms. We also have on site cinema facilities where we show DVD's some evenings. There is also a library of books and DVDs for you to read and watch in the comfort of your gite apartment.
Booking notes
Bookings will only be accepted upon receipt of a non returnable deposit of 150. Upon receipt guests will be issued with confirmation by email. The balance of the payment plus a 150 refundable cleaning/breakages deposit must be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival.
Arrival times are from 4.00pm and departure time is 10.00am.
Linen is provided but towels are not.
