Situated off a quiet road in a small hamlet, this converted 200 year old barn with large open-plan living and dining area with lovely Normandy fireplace is able to accommodate up to 8 guests, this lovely barn is set in enclosed grounds with swing, slide, trampoline and above ground pool. Situated close to the Port of Granville, Mont St Michel and other unspoilt sandy beaches and with easy access to the A84 and the Ferry ports of Caen, Cherbourg and Le Havre this is an ideal location for exploring the delights of Normandy. The nearby town of La Haye Pesnel and Gavray are complete with supermarkets, bars, post office, bank etc.

Changeover day is flexible - arrival at 4pm with checkout at 10am, however, alternate arrangements may be available on request.

Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen, well equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave, cooker, fridge, coffee maker and dishwasher. Cutlery, crockery etc for 8 people with additional plastic plates, cups, etc for young children.
Utility Room: Washing machine located in garage off kitchen.
Iron and ironing board.
Rackets, spades etc for ball games.
Living Rooms: Television and DVD player with an assortment of DVDs for your use, comfortable L-shaped sofa with coffee table, large pine dining table with chairs and bench, bookcases with plenty of board games and books.
Other: Table tennis table and bicycles x 3 (suitable for ages 12 - 14)

linen/maid service:
Property cleaned between lets, bedlinen provided but guests need to bring their own swimming and bath towels. 2 week lets include a clean and bed linen change.

Accessibility
The bedrooms are all upstairs so the property is not suitable for those unable to use stairs. Due to the location of the downstairs bathroom/wc this property is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs.

Outside
Completely enclosed garden with large lawn area for games. Large above ground pool with steps, swings, slide and trampoline. BBQ. Table chairs and parasol. Plenty of off road parking.

Coast/Beach
There are some lovely sandy beaches nearby, approx 15 min drive. The port of Granville is only a 15 min drive and Mont St Michel is only 30 mins drive.

Golf
The nearest golf course is at Brehal-St-Martin (approx 25 mins).

Travel
We are approx 1 hours drive from the Caen and Cherbourg ferries, 2 hours from Le Havre Ferry, and 4 hours from Calais. We are situated approx 10 km from the motorway junction off the A84.
Nearest airports are Caen at 45 mins, Renne and Dinard, 1 hour.
Nearest railway is at Foligny.

Distances
Villedieu les Poeles (15 mins) is well known for its bell foundry and copper making, this lovely town has many bars, restaurants and shops. The zoo at Champrepus is less than 10 minutes drive from the house. 5 mins drive is the Auberge du Mesnil Roguesk, a restaurant and bar. A further 15 mins drive takes you into Gavray with its wonderful Saturday market.

Further details
We are also approx 1 hours drive from the D-Day beaches and memorials. It's also nice to take a day trip to Jersey from Granville.

Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking with the balance due 4 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable security deposit of 100 pounds is requested prior to arrival. A cot, high chair and stair gate will be available on request but no cot bedding is included. Any additional or special requirements please feel free to ask.

The house was excellent - very clean and tidy when we arrived, and we appreciated the tea/milk/cider, too, thank you! Facilities were fantastic - can't think of anything else we could possibly have wanted. (Pearce family Sept 08)

We had a lovely time and the house was great, very well equipped and convenient. It was good to see a slightly different part of the peninsula and still very easy to get up to Cherbourg for our ferry. We were very lucky with the weather and had lots of time on the beach. So all in all, a great time (Peddie family Aug 2008).
I just wanted to let you know what a pleasure it was to stay in your beautiful and clean house and what an enjoyable holiday we all had. We had mostly fine weather and found everything very comfortable. It was a perfect location for all the children's activity parks and zoos. (Prince family June 2008).
