The property is a detached house, 400m from the shops, restaurants, bars and general stores. The town of Baud is 1 1/2 miles away and has several banks, supermarkets and petrol stations. The house is 20 min drive from Vannes, 30 min drive from the seaside resort of Carnac and 20 mins from the beach at the historic town of Port Louis. The house has an adjoining garage, large drive way for 3 or 4 cars and large gated front garden with a further garden to the rear(there is a swing, climbing frame and trampoline for young children) - At the rear of the property there is a large patio and raised decking area with barbeque, plus a 10mx4m heated pool. There are numerous chairs and sun loungers, as well as a full size table tennis table, table football, travel cot and high chair. Inside, the house has w/machine, T/Dryer, microwave, Fr/Fr electric oven and hob, Free view sky, DVD player. All rooms have individual electric heaters and all Linen and towels are provided(except beach towels).

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Deposit of 20% required at time of booking.
Changeover day
We try to be flexible on dates, however Saturday is the preferred change over day.

| Other: | Garden shed - this holds the barbeque, sun loungers etc. Garage - holds full size table tennis table and large kite. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
We provide all linen and towels (except beach towels) at the start of the holiday. The house is fully cleaned prior to arrival and then again on departure. All linen/towels to be piled in the kitchen on departure. |
Notes on accommodation
The house is very child friendly (we have 3 young children), there is large gated front garden, and a swing, climbing frame and trampoline in the rear garden along with the pool which is completely fenced at the rear of the property.
Accessibility
The property has not had any special adaptations for the disabled.
Outside
There are all the items/accessories you would expect for a self catering holiday. The pool is for private use only and is fully heated.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at the historic "walled" port of Port Louis, however there are numerous beaches at Lamor Plage, Carnac and Etel. The famous "Land spit" of Quiberon is a 40 minute drive.
Golf
There are golf courses a short drive away, however the local tourist information has more details.
Special interest holidays
Brittany, is the "Cornwall" of France with its Breton culture, coastal walks, cycling and numerous historic places of interest.
Travel
Airports - Brest -1 1/2 hour drive; Dinard - 2 Hour drive; Nantes - 1 1/2 hour drive.
Ferries - St Malo - 2 hour drive; Caen - 3 hour drive; Le Havre - 4 hour drive; Euro Tunnel (Calais) - 7 hour drive.
Distances
400 meters to the village centre - restaurants/bars, butchers, patisserie, pharmacy, general store and post office. Baud - 1 1/2 miles - All of the above plus banks, supermarkets, clothes shops, out door market and indoor swimming pool.

All bookings to be agreed with Colin or Becky, 20% deposit on all bookings, final payments to be made 8 weeks prior to arrival. We are very happy to have a chat about any aspects of the property and surrounding areas.
Owner profile
About the owner
Becky and I have 3 young children (4,7 & 9) and when we bought the the land to build the house in 2003 we decided that we wanted the house to be very child friendly, pretty much home from home, so we have lots of activities and games for the kids, plus there is an outside patio and pool for the adults to relax.
We are very easy going, so if you have any special requests or general questions about the area, please ask and I will answer as honestly as possible.
To date everyone who has stayed has enjoyed the house and the area, and we have had some repeat bookings from a couple of families.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Becky and I bought the land for the house in November 2003, and the house was completed in Nov 2004. We had visited the area before and we really enjoyed the climate and also, the surrounding towns and beaches, so this helped make our minds up.
The village of Camors was particularly appealing, as it is a developing (but still fairly quiet) village, with a a good range of shops, and is only half an hour from the beaches. The house sits at the top of the hill over looking the larger town of Baud, so this seemed an ideal location to buy a maison secondaire.
