This private villa is situated in a peaceful location 8 minutes by car from the town of Vence, with close access to Saint Paul de Vence, Antibes, Nice and Italy and a 20 minutes drive from Nice airport. With its own private infinity swimming pool (5m x 10m) with overflow system, the south facing villa has outstanding views across the hills and a view of the sea. This comfortable villa is tastefully decorated and furnished with air-conditioning/heating and log fire for the winter. The gardens are planted with many kinds of fruit trees, mimosas, palm trees and flowers and there is a large terrace around the swimming pool. The covered outside dining area provides a wonderful location from which to eat looking out over unspoilt hills.

Changeover day
The changeover dates can be flexible but normally would be on Saturdays.

With the downstairs bedroom and bathroom this property is suitable for wheelchair access.
Outside
The private swimming pool has large steps at the shallow end and becomes deeper(1.80 meter). There is a foot ledge all round the pool for security and there is a pool alarm. The infinity system is efficient for keeping the pool cleaner. Sunbeds, seats, parasols and tables are provided. There is a shower facility by the pool.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at Cagnes sur Mer which is 12 km from Vence or a 20 minute drive.
Golf
The nearest golf course is Biot which is 30 minutes from the villa, however there is an extensive choice of golf courses in close proximity.
Skiing
The nearest ski resorts are Auron and Isola 2000 which are 1hr and 20 minutes from the villa.
Special interest holidays
Saint Paul de Vence - the artist's village with the Fondation Maeght- is 10 minutes away by car from Vence. The Chapel Matisse in Vence and the Musee Chagal in Nice provide good sites for art enthusiasts.
Travel
The nearest airport is Nice and this is 20 minutes drive. The hire of a car is necessary.
Distances
The centre of Vence is 5 minutes by car from the Villa and there is a regular public bus service which runs 1/2 a mile from the villa to Vence and from which you can access Nice for currently just 1.30 euros.
Further details
Vence is a very picturesque town and it has all the local amenities including cinema. It has a local market every morning and a walled pedestrian town with charming restaurants and provencal shops.
Booking notes
A 50% deposit is required at time of booking with the remaining 50% to be paid 3 weeks prior to the date of holiday along with a refundable deposit of 500 euros. Payment can be made in either euros or UK Pounds using the current exchange rate by bank transfer, cheque or cash. You must have your own public insurance cover.

'We really enjoyed our stay, the peace and lovely surrounding countryside was excellent. We enjoyed the Villa which is well equipped and spacious. The additional feature of a nice pool with four balconies and many seating areas serves to compliment the villa. The garden is looking bright and having lemons and other fruit growing in the garden enhances the fact that you are in the South of France. We also found access to and from the Villa by car and across the area very easy. The town of Vence has plenty of activity and some nice eating places partiularly within the old city wall. We would commend folk to stay at the villa and just enjoy.'
