Les Fougeres in the hamlet of La Coupaudais, is situated just outside the village of St Hélen in the region of Cotes d'Armor, Northern Brittany. Surrounded by beautiful countryside but also well placed for the local towns and cities, it is ideal for a relaxing holiday as well as being near to lots of interesting places to visit and explore. The medieval town of Dinan and port of Dinan is just 10 minutes drive with lovely cafes, bars and restaurants. The port of St Malo is 15 minutes away which lies at the mouth of the river Rance. The coastal seaside town of Dinard is approx 20 minutes drive and has magnificent beaches. Dinard also has an airport with daily flights to and from Stansted and Luton. The city of Rennes is about a 20 min drive, excellent for shopping with designer shops and wonderful restaurants.

The gîte sleeps 5 +cot, has full central heating throughout and a large open fire place with log burning stove, ideal for holidays all year round. The ground floor has an open plan lounge/diner with a galley style kitchen area. The focal point of the ground floor is the large original fireplace and exposed wooden beams. The lounge area has comfortable sofas and English TV with all free view channels and a video with a selection of videos, games and books. The dining area has a pine table and six chairs. The kitchen has fitted units with an integrated dual fuel cooker, fridge with freezer compartment and large selection of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pot’s pans and serving dishes. The bathroom has a large shower cubicle and a sink and separate toilet. The first bedroom has a large oak double bed, oak wardrobe and side cabinet. The second bedroom has a single pine bed and a set of pine bunk beds with a pine wardrobe and chest of drawers. |

Outside
There is a large garden to the rear of both the properties that has been lawned and includes a 15ft round above ground swimming pool. The gardens are enclosed with gates at the entrances. To the front of the cottage is a gravel driveway with a parking area to the side. Beyond the driveway is a two-acre meadow for all guests to roam and explore. This leads on to the Forêt de Coëtquen which includes mapped out walks to follow. To the front of the Gîte there is a gravelled area which incorporates an ancient bread oven, with a walled pergola area. Outdoor games and equipment are provided, such as swimming pool, paddling pool, badminton set, tennis, soft ball, cricket, footballs, frisbees etc. We have also converted a small barn between the gîte and cottage into a utility room which houses a washing machine, sink, airer, iron and ironing board. BBQs and garden furniture are provided for all guests.
