Enjoy the peace and explore the beauty of South West France from our self-contained, luxury gite in the High Pyrenees. Situated in a small village to the north of Lannemezan, the gite offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and easy access (1 hour drive) to the Pyrenees mountains, Lourdes, Tarbes, Auch, Pau and Toulouse. Day trips (2-3 hours) to Albi, Carcassonne and Biarritz are also possible. The region is renowned for its sunny climate, good restaurants and historic villages. It is ideal for walking, bird watching, climbing and cycling with many local facilities and attractions. The gite is on two floors with a lounge and fully equipped kitchen/diner on the ground floor and two double bed/sitting rooms each with en-suite bathrooms on the first floor. The newly converted gite faces the main farmhouse across a courtyard with a fountain.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Guests are asked to leave by 11am in order to permit new arrivals to be welcomed after 3pm.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 is a bed/sitting room with double bed and TV/DVD. Bedroom 2 is a bed/sitting room with double bed and TV/DVD. |

| Kitchen: | The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | The kichen/diner is fully equipped for 6 people. The separate lounge is provided with TV and DVD and double sofa bed. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen are included and are changed weekly. The gite is cleaned weekly by arrangement with guests. |
Notes on accommodation
The property is available all year round with electric heaters throughout for the winter months. In summer overhead fans fitted in all rooms keep the accommodation cool.
A fully equipped gymnasium is available for the use of guests.
The property is not suitable for small children.

Toulouse - 90 Kms (1 hour drive)
The gite is in a rural location so a car is essential. Thes can be hired locally or at the airport.
The nearest ferry port is Santander in Northern Spain about 3-4 hours drive. The journey from the channel ports takes between 9 and 12 hours with Caen being probably the nearest of them.

Lannemezan is a delightful market town situated at the foot of the highest mountains of the French Pyrenees. It boasts a variety of shops, supermarkets and banks with cash machines that accept UK credit and debit cards. It has a lively market every Wednesday morning that is well worth a visit. The area is renowned for fine food and good wine and there are a good number of excellent restaurants in the area. Visitor attractions include the Pyrenees National Parks, Lourdes, the Mountain Spas at Capvern, Bagneres and Luchon, magnificent old churches such as St Bertrand de Comminges, the Caves at Betharram and the mountain railway at Artouste.
Facilities include horse riding, mountain walking, bird watching, cycling, climbing and a variety of other mountain adventure activities. Swimming pools and a golf course are both nearby.
Booking notes
Provisional bookings can be made by telephone or e-mail. These will be confirmed on receipt of a refundable deposit of 100 Euros to cover the reservation and breakages. Payment for accommodation will be required either in cash upon arrival, or by cheque at least two weeks before. The deposit less any charge for breakages will be returned at the end of the holiday.
