Les Hiboux consists of a restored 18th century farmhouse and three cottages, all with limestone walls and tiled roofs in the Charentaise style. The property is situated in a small tranquil farming hamlet with outstanding views, in rural Poitou-Charentes, 5 km from the market town of Chef Boutonne. The farmhouse, L’ Hibou, accommodates ten guests in four bedrooms. Le Noisetier, is a newly converted two-storey home, accommodating six guests in three bedrooms. Le Noisetier and L’ Hibou can be connected via an internal corridor for larger parties. La Vieille Maison was originally a farm building and accommodates six guests in three bedrooms. La Grange sleeps twelve guests in 6 bedrooms, one en-suite bedroom being on the ground floor. Les Hiboux is owned by a couple with a child, who know the importance of creating a holiday environment that maximises the enjoyment of both parents and children. The 3 acres of enclosed gardens with pool and games room are for all guests to enjoy.

Paul and Caroline said "Les Hiboux is spacious and clean and there is a great terrace for drinks in the evening and a lovely swimming pool. We had great fun exploring the rural location on the bikes provided and the excellent facilities made for a great family holiday. The photos don' t do the place justice. "
"I stayed in La Grange, a beautifully renovated barn house, with my family for a week in June. The extensive and well kept gardens are great for the kids, with lots for them to do without even having to go anywhere. Very quiet and relaxing area giving you a real look at laid back rural life in France."

The accomodation was fabulous - tastefully done. The grounds were superb and there were lots of activities for the children besides the pool. Tim & Ellen were always on hand to help or advise when needed. Altogether a lovely place which made for a perfect family holiday. Without question rated 5 out of 5. Jonathan, June 2010
