Changeover day
The gite changeover day is Saturday in high season. Arrivals from 5pm, departures before 10am.

| The East bedroom, is equipped with a standard double bed, build in wardrobe, power shower, wash basin and toilet. The french doors open on to a quiet terrace where you can take your breakfast. | |
Notes on accommodation
The gite is air-conditioned and has heating. The bed and breakfast room also has heating. The property is partially closed with hedging and plantations.
Outside
The property has one hectare of garden with several patios. Barbecue for the gite and garden furniture.
Coast/Beach
If you like beaches and/or nautical sports you will find everything by car only 20 min away at Saint Georges de Didonne or Royan. Or 40 min away on the wild coast.
Golf
If you are passionate about golf there are two 18 holes courses at Maine-Gaudin (Royan/ La Palmyre) and Saintes, both within about 30/40 minutes.
Travel
It is necessary to have a car while you are staying here.
To get here by train:
TGV, from Paris-Montparnasse to Angouleme, Surgeres (La Rochelle).
TER, from Angoulême to Saintes.
By plane:
Bordeaux and La Rochelle airports are 100 km away.
The nearest ferry ports are Caen (6 hours) Saint Malo (5 hours) and Santander (5 hours).
Distances
The nearest villages are Montpellier de Medillan at 2.5km and Meursac 2km.
Further details
The nearest good restaurant is located in Meursac. The nearest supermarket is a 10 minutes drive, and there are a few local shops in Meursac (baker, butcher, grocery shop, news agent). There are many local paths for walking, cycling or horse riding across sunflower fields and vines. Places to discover - the Gironde estuary, its natural reserve, the site du Fa, Talmont, Meschers, Saint-Georges de Didonne, the Cordouan lighthouse, Royan and the Jardins du Monde, la Palmyre and its zoo, the wild coast and its 30km beaches, 35km cycle ways, 8000 hectares of forests.

Pleases contact by email in first instance. A deposit of 25% is required on reservation and the balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable breakages deposit of 400 euros is payable with your final payment.

A very big THANK YOU for looking after us and making us feel so very welcome in your beautiful very well equipped gite.
For English guests, imagine being woken up to an English newspaper, baguette and croissants from the village, Dominique cycles there early on a morning to oblige guests who can’t get away from the tabloids or resist the temptations of the local Boulangerie.
If anyone wants to be pampered by their daughter Severine who is a beautician we can highly recommend her treatments and Spa.
We enjoyed our stay very much in rural Charente Maritime only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of the beaches.
Dominique’s secret she also bakes fantastic little cakes and delicacies as a special treat for guests too yum, yum!
