Our largest of five individually styled gites set on 2.5 acres of land which includes landscaped gardens with seasonal planting and plenty of open space for our guests to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. There is a large 12x6m solar heated swimming pool with a sun terrace and loungers. You can also enjoy the French national game of Boules on our pitch, while enjoying a glass of ‘Pastis’. Our location offers the peace and calm of rural France at its best, whilst being ideally located to explore all of the attractions of the Dordogne, Bordeaux regions, the Limousin and beyond.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds and euros. Special discounts for renting all 3 gites. Also for lets longer than 3 weeks. All prices are fully inclusive.
Long term lets from September to June are welcome, please contact us for a quote.
Changeover day
Normal changeover day is Saturday but may altered by arrangement. Arrival time is from 3.30pm and departure 10am.

| Living Rooms: | Living room - comfortable lounge seating around the large inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove (the original date of 1792 is still engraved in the mantle). Sat TV,o DVD player, radio/CD player, and board games. Dining area - table and six chairs. |

Notes on accommodation
The gite is suitable for children and there is a cot, high chair, and stairgates available on request. The gite has electric central heating which is thermostatically controlled along with a large log burner.
Outside
Les Chardonnerets benefits from a large solar heated swimming pool measuring 12x6m with depths from 1.2m to 1.5m. The pool is surrounded by a large terrace with sun loungers and parasols available. The gite has its own private patio and garden with tables chairs and loungers. BBQs are also available. At the front of the property there is a boules pitch where you can socialise with other guests and enjoy the French national game. In the very large rear is a childrens play area with a large trampoline (suitable for big kids-adults), swings, slides, climbing frame, basketball, swingball, and a football goal.
Coast/Beach
There is an inland beach available some 10 minites drive at Nantheuil.
Golf
There is a new 9 hole golf course recently open at Excideuil 30 mins drive away. It is a beautifully scenic course featuring 3 par 3s, 3 par4s and 3 par 5s. I have 2 mens full sets of clubs available for use.
Travel
Limoges airport 52km about 45 mins drive. Bergerac Airport 74km about 1hr 15 mins drive. The property is about 7 hours drive from the Northern Ferry ports.
Distances
All of the attractions below are within a 40 mins drive - many much closer: Perigueux with its striking Cathedral, ancient streets river cruises the cultural centre of the Perigord. Brantome, standing on an island in the river Dronne with its magnificent Abbey set against the hollowed out cliffs. Grottes de Villars, a spectacular series of prehistoric caves. St Jean de Cole, officially one of the prettiest villages in France.

Further details
The fortified market town of Thiviers is just 4km away with all amenities including Supermarkets which are open 6 days a week and Sunday morning.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival along with a security deposit of £150.
We can also offer short breaks/long weekends except during July and August. Please contact us with your requirements.
