This beautiful apartment in a traditional style chalet, less than 2 years old, is situated in the village of Chinaillon, close to Le Grand Bornand in the Haute Savoie region of France. It is ideal for both winter and summer holidays. It is only yards from the ski slopes and lift system and has wonderful views over the slopes in winter and the green meadows in summer. Walk up to the main street of the village with grocery shops, ski equipment shops, shops to browse in, tourist information, cinema, restaurants and bars. In summer the area is excellent for walking or cycling, gentle or serious - the Tour de France regularly passes through. You can also visit one of the mountain restaurants for a relaxing traditional lunch. The excellent motorway system will bring you to within 30 minutes of our apartment. For travelling by plane, Geneva is about 1 hour away. Annecy with its beautiful old town and lake about 40 minutes away.

Changeover day
Chalet can be occupied from 4pm on day of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

Lifts are available to all levels. Please note that smoking is not allowed in the apartment and pets cannot be taken into the apartment.
Coast/Beach
Annecy lake is 40 minutes drive away with plenty of facilities for swimming sunbathing and watersports.
Skiing
You could not find a more convenient spot for skiing; the ski lifts are 2 minutes walk away. There are 90km of slopes to suit all abilities including some good off-piste areas. If you want to go a bit further afield then an “Aravis” ski pass covers 220km of pistes and includes skibus transfers to nearby La Clusaz. There are also plenty of cafes in which to take a well earned rest or enjoy a typically French lunch.
In the evening you can relax and recover in the chalet or sample several of the traditional restaurants in the village serving recipes typical of the region. We’d be happy to tell you where we have enjoyed visiting.
If you’re not a skier, there are plenty of opportunities for walking and some interesting shops nearby.
Travel
Geneva is less than 1 hours drive. Hire car or taxi or coach in winter available at the airport. Easy motorway drive from Calais about 500 miles. No need for a car in winter.
