Chateau 'Mondou' is located outside the city. At the end of a small road. The 'Barn' is created on the opposite of the castle and shed by a wall. Converted with big windows and tiles at the floor. Floor heating in wintertime. It has a nice patio from 6m x 6m and a big terrace were you can sit under a tree. It is a perfect base for family with small children or adults who are going for playing golf. It is 5 min by car to the big shopping mall and other things are in town. You can arrive from Bergerac or Bordeaux airport.

Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 is upstairs with double bed and TV. Bedroom 2 with a double bed and a baby-bed. The hall with bunk bed and is near the toilet. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom with spacious shower and separate wc. The bathroom is for everybody in this house. There is an extra outside bathroom with toilet at the other side of the barn. |
| Kitchen: | Kitchen fully equipped with microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine. |
| Utility Room: | A washing machine, iron and ironing board, brooms and hoover. |
| Living Rooms: | Open plan living area with tiled floor. Dining table and chairs. Sofa. TV and outside table in the shed with chairs and parasol. Nice patio with roses. |
| Other: | The big barbecue is near the Barn and has a stone table with chairs. There is also a ping-pong table. |

The linen and bath towels are included and will be refreshed weekly. Pool cleaned every day. |

Notes on accommodation
To come with your pet is OK but there are rules.
Only in the living room and outside only together with his master.And 2 times a day a walk with the dog for pipi. The swimming pool is safe for children (alarm) but also it needs the parents to keep an eye on it with little children.
Accessibility
Château Mondou has a gate and a parking space. No problem to drive to this address and to return. It is situated at the end of a small road, very safe and quiet. The 'Barn' has a front and back door. From the parking space you have to go down with some steps in the garden to arrive at the door.
Outside
The pool is 11m x 5m and there is a separate small bath 2m x 2m for the little ones who cannot swim. A huge terrace is around and you have a super good view in the distance. There are parasols and sun chairs. You can make a trip in the fields and admire the animals around the lake.
Coast/Beach
Atlantic beaches are more than a 2 hours drive but there are a plenty of lakes with beaches and water parks. You can rent a canoe.
Golf
10 minutes drive to the 18 hole championship course of Villeneuve sur Lot. A nice course in between water and fruit trees. From the swimming pool of Mondou you can see the hill of the golf course. Past the pool you can practise with your club.

Travel
Nearest airport is Bergerac 50 minutes drive (car hire can be pre-booked and could not be easier as Eurocar and Hertz are based at the airport). A car is a must to enjoy the region fully. Toulouse and Bordeaux airport approx 2.5 and 1.5 hours drive. From Calais the drive is 9.5 hours. Excellent links via TGV to Agen and with bus to Villeneuve.
Distances
Easily that the town is down under the hill. Big supermarkets and lovely marketplaces in open air. Lots of restaurants and music festivals at the border of the lot. Also Monflanquin organise nice entertainments and meals in the street with music bands. Antique markets.
Further details
The shop for bread and fish is open until 12.30 hours on Sunday morning.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
!n 1984 I saw the castle in a bad state. Many years for renovating and working in the garden. The result was that I had the pay 6x the tax what was in the past. So I desided to rent the house for the summerdays. And that is a good thing.
Unique benefits of the property
I enjoy to work in the garden and to rest after it in sitting in the sun. To be there with friends , making a good dinner and going after in the pool.
