The hamlet of La Pinotais dates from 1640. The cottage itself, known as L'Ecurie (The stable), is built of stone and terre (cob). Many of the original features have been retained whilst providing all the modern facilities you would expect, to enable you to enjoy your holiday in comfort. Brittany hides many delights and surprises. For those with energy or the ones who just want to relax. This is the region of lakes and charming villages awaiting discovery. Pleasant strolls can be enjoyed locally, then within half an hour, you can enjoy gentle sandy beaches, quiet coves and fishing ports. For a change of tempo, the towns of Dinan, Dinard, Dol and St Malo offer narrow streets bustling with shops, cafes and bars and festivals make for a colourful attraction during summer/autumn months. Seafood is the local speciality and restaurants offer menus to suit. The owner has a good command of the French language and extensive local knowledge to enhance your holiday experience.

Courtyard area leads onto large paved patio with raised garden and pond with water feature. Covered barbeque with a traditional charcoal burning chimney. Large secure off road parking adjoining property.
Coast/Beach
A range of superb beaches are available within 40 minutes drive on the nearby north Brittany coast. Saint Briac has two sandy beaches with opportunities to explore rock pools at low tide. Saint Lunaire offers a large expanse of sand in a quiet location. The bustling town of Dinard has beach front dining and the walled town of Saint Malo boasts fabulous walks along the ramparts overlooking beaches and marina. The fishing port of Cancale is renowned for its oysters and seafood restaurants.
Travel
We are approx. 45 minutes from St Malo. Other ports include Cherbourg [3hrs] Caen [2hrs] Le Havre [4hrs] Dieppe [5hrs] Roscoff [2hrs] Calais [6 hrs]. The airports of Rennes and Dinard are 40 minutes away.
Distances
The attractive village of Guitte and the market town of Caulnes are both within walking distance. The historic town of Dinan, described as the jewel in the crown of Brittany, is only 20 minutes away. The city of Rennes with its beautiful buildings is approximately 45 minutes away, and also offers extensive shopping opportunities.
Further details
Caulnes and Guitte are minutes away. They have supermarkets, fish shop, 2 butchers, Tabac/Bar, 2 excellent bakers, chemist, medical centre, banks, post office and restaurants. Just 10 minutes at Trefumel is our favourite restaurant. The railway station at Caulnes has frequent trains to Brest and Rennes.
Booking notes
Bookings to be arranged directly with the owner by telephone/email initially and will be confirmed in writing/email. A non refundable deposit of £100 is payable by cheque at the time of booking. The balance to be paid by cheque one month prior to arrival. An additional damages deposit of 150 euros is payable on arrival, which will be refunded on departure.
