This house sits on one of the most beautiful sites in the world. The ground floor consists of the bathroom, main bedroom and 'cabine' bedroom. Upstairs has a fully fitted kitchen and open plan living/dining area. Every room offers superb views. The interior is quite small however there are 3 outdoor terraces, the large sea facing terrace gets the sun from early morning until evening, the rear terrace is ideal for BBQs. There is an exterior stone staircase which links the two floors. There is no interior staircase. It's located on a hill overlooking the sea and vineyards just a 10 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to the lively village of Port Vendres. It is on a private two acre site with pine and eucalyptus trees ideal for hanging the hammock in the shade from which you can enjoy the sea and vineyard views while listening to the wonderful sound of silence! Previous guests have described this house as 'magical' and 'a little corner of paradise'. One week may not be enough!

Changeover day
Changeover day during summer period is Sunday. Departure 10am and arrival 3pm. Flexible off season.

| Living Rooms: | The living dining room is small with superb views, it has a dining table and also a double sofa bed. It has a stereo/CD player. There is no television but we do have wifi (broadband) for those who may need to work while here, you can stay "connected". |
| Other: | We have made the house more child friendly this year adding a swing, slide, rocking horse, trampoline, travel cot and some toys. A high chair can be provided on request. |

Accessibility
The house itself is located on a hill and the private driveway is a little steep. It is not at all suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
2 acre site with many trees and shrubs, 3 terrace areas, outdoor dining tablse which seat ten comfortably, BBQ. Hammock, slide, swing, trampoline...Feel free to contact us for more photos and information.
Coast/Beach
There are several beaches within a 10 minute walk. Some are sandy while others are stony. It is an excellent area for fishing or snorkeling and very safe for swimmers of all levels.
Golf
There is an excellent golf course in Saint Cyprien which is approximately a 20 minute drive away.
Skiing
Several ski resorts located approx 2 hour drive away; Les Angles, Font Romeu, Formigueres...
Travel
Toulouse - EasyJet drive time 2 hrs 30.
Carcassonne - Ryanair, drive time 1 hr 30.
Girona, Spain - Ryanair, drive time 1 hr 30.
Perpignan - Ryanair, BMI, FLYBE, drive time 40 mins to villa.
Car hire from airports essential except Perpignan (bus and train). Trains from London Waterloo to Perpignan and Perpignan to Port Vendres. Driving from Calais allow about 11 to 12 hours.
Distances
From the villa allow a 20 minute walk to Port Vendres village, 15 minutes to beach, 20 minutes to the stunning lighthouse of Cap Bear. It is an hours walk to Collioure. There is a tourist train and boat services along the coast as well as an SNCF train station in the village for easy access to Perpignan city and Spain. There are many diverse and wonderful places to visit within a half hour drive including Banyuls sur Mer, Argelas, Elne, Chateau Valmy - a haven for wine lovers.
Further details
There is an excellent variety of restaurants in Port Vendres village. It is a well lived in village all year round with a market on Saturday mornings and a daily fish market with oyster bar. It is a relaxed, typical Catalan village with everything you could need, supermarkets, pharmacy, banks etc
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure a booking. The balance is required 8 weeks prior to your holiday plus a security deposit of E200 for damages. This is refunded two weeks after your departure assuming no breakages.

'We really enjoyed snorkeling in a nearby bay called Sainte Catherine, also from the house there is a designated walk down the hillside away from any traffic which leads onto the most beautiful sheltered little beach which gets the sun all day and late into the evening. Swimming in the area was really safe for our young children, they had so much freedom on the site itself and also in the surrounding areas, it was the best family holiday we have ever been on. The sea water was so clean and transparent, a real joy! The pressure is on to go back!

About the owner
I am Irish and have lived in France for about 15 years. My partner is French and we have two little ones. We live all year round in the Pyrenees Orientales. I toured the world throughout my twenties but when I stumbled across Collioure and Port Vendres I knew instantly that I had found my new home. It is handy for our guests that we are close-by for any tips on the region or assistance that may be required during ones stay.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We choose to live in this part of the world because of it's sheer beauty, mild year-round climate, fantastic people, top quality wine, superb Catalan cuisine, beautiful clean beaches... need I go on?! It is easy to access with several low cost airlines flying into Perpignan, Gerona and Carcassonne and now one can fly from Dublin to Perpignan direct with Aer Lingus! Hurray!

Our villa is ideal for those who love nature, walking, snorkeling, diving, golfing, sunbathing, cycling, fine wines and gourmet dining or simply swinging in the hammock admiring the sea view!
