Notes on accommodation
Les Oisons and Le Papillon are available for holidays either together or separately. We would recommend Oisons as suitable for a family or group of friends and Papillon is ideal for a couple. The mezzanine area in Papillon is very robust, however as this is reached by a narrow staircase (with rails) we recommend that it is suitable for children from about 8 years old. For 'winter' holidays heating is available in both properties, in Oisons there is a wood burning fire and in Papillon a gas heater. Between October and end of April there is an additional cost of £22 per week for heating if required.

Accessibility
In Oisons both bathrooms are on the ground floor and next to the ground floor bedrooms. Access is very good, there are a few steps leading to the property. In Papillon there is one step to the master bedroom and the garden is accessed by a staircase. For further information on access please contact Avril directly.

Outside
Both properties are detached and have their own garden and BBQ areas. Each has outside dining furniture. The pool is 5x10m in length and 1.2-1.5m deep, it is alarmed and complies with French law. The pool is 'open' from April to October. Table tennis, lawn badminton and boules available for all guests. The properties are reached from a side road well away from any traffic (of which there is very little) and there are many walks and paths suitable for cycling.

Coast/Beach
There is a very good sandy beach at La Jemaye (20 mins drive) this is set in a natural habitat within woodlands. In the summer life guards are on duty and there are specially supervised swimming areas. other facilities include, picnic benches, pedalos, children’s play ground and cafes. The famous coastal resort of La Rochelle is worth a visit (2 hours plus drive) but a very vibrant and colourful place.

‘We would like to express our thanks for such a fantastic location for us to enjoy our holiday. You have an amazing location here, so relaxing and peaceful that even with the twins running riot we couldn’t but be refreshed after our holiday. We will never forget the pool where Dylan and Emma swam alone for the first time too. Thank you’ - The Sandes family June 2007.
‘We have spent an enjoyable and restful time at Le Guichard. The house suited us perfectly and the pool was a great hit with our kids. The Donald family July 2007.
‘A beautiful gite in an idyllic location. A very special trip indeed as my little brother and his beautiful girlfriend got engaged! For a real treat visit Moulin De Roc in Chapagne de Belair, a magical restaurant. Also worth a visit is the Roque de St Christophe - fantastic, and the chateau de Castlenaud. Canoeing from Corsac to Beynac -22km but well worth it for the views. Hope your trip is as wonderful and memorable as ours, - The Feerick family August 2007
