The first floor studio was built in 1987 by Pernod Ricard and is in an attractive development. Cavaliere beach is the largest of Le Lavandou's 12 beaches with a sailing school, paragliding, water-skiing, windsurfing and jet-skiing all available. Tennis courts may be hired at the tennis club and bicycles are available for hire for riding along the cycle track which runs to Hyeres. Shopping is very convenient with boulangeries and a small supermarket close at hand. There are bars, restaurants and a few shops in Cavaliere together with a post office and tourist information office. A market is held every Monday morning and a marche au puce every Sunday morning. Le Lavandou is the nearest town and from there boats sail daily to the islands of Port Cros, Levant and Porquerolles and also to St. Tropez. For gardeners the Domaine du Rayol is well worth a visit and concerts are often performed there in the summer months. There are many lovely hill top villages in the surrounding area.

The beach is 100 metres away.
Golf
The nearest golf course is at Le Vallon approx. 18/20 kilometres away.
Travel
The nearest airport is Toulon/St. Tropez at Hyeres, approximately 25 minutes away. Daily flights with Ryanair from Stansted. Nice and Marseilles airports are both approximately 2 hours drive away. Eurostar comes to Toulon (approx three-quarters of an hour away by car). The local bus service is Sodatrav which goes all along the coast. Car hire is available at all the airports.
Distances
St. Tropez is approx 20 miles away to the east with its lovely Musee d'Annonciade. Twice weekly markets are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Le Lavandou has 3 large supermarkets, banks, restaurants, shops and bars and a large harbour. The old town of Hyeres is approx. 15 miles away and was once the winter holidaying resort of Queen Victoria. Toulon is 25 miles away and is a very interesting naval port.
Booking notes
To make a booking, a booking form is sent and on receipt of the completed form and a deposit of one third of the rental price the booking is confirmed in writing. Six weeks before the rental date the balance of the rental is due. On receipt of the balance, keys, directions and instructions are sent out. At the end of the holiday the keys must be returned within two weeks.
