Bon Courage is a beautifully restored old farm building with a wealth of beams and rustic charm. It stands in 2 acres of private grounds, laid mainly to lawn, including an orchard, play area and gardens for the use of our guests. The indoor swimming pool is heated and open from May to September. Adjacent to it is a shower and w.c. Sun beds are provided for your comfort and relaxation. There also is a communal barbecue area and boules court. The house is divided into four self contained units, which are each comfortably furnished and fully equipped with electric cookers, fridges, sink units, kettles, coffee machines, crockery and cooking utensils. Bed linen and towels are available for hire and should be requested at time of booking. The four units have separate entrances and can be rented individually or together in any combination to suit larger groups. Bon Courage, Avilly, is situated in Pierres in the heart of Calvados. The closest larger town is Vire at approximately 8 miles.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday but should another day be required, the utmost will be done to accommodate in accordance with your needs.

Hyacinth is a studio aprtment as well. The layout is unique, with a mezzanine bedroom, a very attractive living-room area (seating- and separate eating area), with fully equipped kitchenette (electric cooker, convertible micro-wave / oven, fridge and all the necessary kitchen untesils and crockery) and shower-room and w.c. TV with main British channels (including kids-channels) and DVD player is provided for. |

Primrose (2 Bedroom, Sleeps 4/5)

Primrose has a very nice, downstairs lounge and dining-room, with fully equipped kitchen and shower room with sink and separate toilet. Two bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a double bed with a cot-bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. Both rooms have 'Velux' windows offering very nice country-side views. TV with main British channels (including kids-channels) and DVD player are provided. |

Snowdrop (3 Bedroom, Sleeps 6/7)

Snowdrop is a 3 en-suite bedroom unit. The very large master bedroom has two beds (together they would make a 'king-sized' bed, with a new ensuite bathroom and w.c. The second bedroom has two single beds, which together make a king-size bed as well, (with views of the rear garden) and also has an en-suite shower room with w.c. The third (small) bedroom has bunk beds and has an en-suite with a shower room / w.c. also. The kitchen has a new large fridge freezer, cooker, micro-wave and a table that seats 6. The comfortable lounge has a wood-burning stove and has a dining area TV with main British channels (incljuding kids-channels) and DVD player are provided. |

Notes on accommodation
Bon Courage is very family friendly with a large garden to play games and an indoor swimming pool. There is a BBQ area and each unit has its own outside furniture. It also has a utility room for all of the units to share with a new washing machine, a spare fridge and small freezer.
Accessibility
The units all contain at least one step and would not be suitable for guests in wheelchairs.
Outside
The garden is over 2 acres with the indoor swimming pool. The pool is over 8 meters long and 4 wide, it is shared with the other guests of Bon Courage only
Coast/Beach
Bon Courage is approximately one hour drive from Caen, Bayeux the Normandy landing beaches and the famous Mont St. Michel.
Golf
Two golf course are in the proximity of Bon Courage. The Golf de Clecy is an 18 hole, par 72 course. Clecy is North of Conde-sur-Noireau at approximately 30 to 35 minutes drive. The nine hole Golf de Vire-la Dathee is South West of Vire at about 25 to 30 minutes drive.
Travel
The property is located approximately 90 minutes from Cherbourg and Le Havre would be a 2 hours drive. The roads are excellent and mainly motorway. The last 15 miles are on excellent secondary (Departmental) roads and good quality country roads.
Distances
Vire is the nearest main town with a wonderful weekly market on Fridays. It has excellent supermarkets and many good shops.
Vire is approximately 8 miles from Bon Courage, whereas
Vassy is the nearest village, at about 3.2 miles from the property. This village has two bakeries, a butcher, a pharmacy, a small shop (Shopi) open daily for milk etc. and also a general store for 'handiman's' needs. It also has a 'Point Information', where one can freely use the in ternet facilities.
